UD2 and UD3 Mobos
Published (2009-11-30 21:24:00)
Well, to state the obvious, one is a standard ATX board, the other is a Micro ATX board.. With that out of the way, these are the differences: The GA-P55-UD3 has: 3 PCI slots. 2 PCI-E x1 slots. The GA-P55M-UD2 does not have 3 PCI slots, or any PCI-Ex1 slots. The GA-P55M-UD2 has the following (which the p55-UD3 doesn't): 2 1394 connections. 1 E-SATA connection. The major difference's that aren't visible is that the UD3 (hence...

It's just standard virtualisation. It requires 2 downloads, one of Virtual PC, and one of the 'XP Mode' which is in the form of an executable file, so I presume it's a small-ish version of Windows Xp packaged up and designed to be installed directly into Virtual PC so no "plank walkin' be happenin'". It doesn't require a reboot. As I said it's standard virtualisation, it displays the OS in a ...

http://www.electronicrepairguide.com/capacitor-dis charge.html This is a very good explanation of cap discharging in a PSU for someone who has never done it. As for the fan, make sure it is a regularly sized low RPM 120MM case fan, with molex connectors and no more than a red and black wire. I wouldn't run the PSU without a fan, even if your CPU cooler is good (wat?). If anything having...

Defragmentating is likely to help if you havn't done it in a while. It basically groups the current structure and layout of the files into a more organized structure, therefore, decreasing the read times, since the system doesn't have to go looking for particular files. You might also want to try a file clean up and a registry clean up, both forms of maintenance can be done by using CCleaner....

I would say that both cards are about equal performance-wise exchanging blows depending on the game. Anyway, at the res you'll be playing at I doubt there's gona be any difference so go for the cheaper one.
