Don't think so. I wasn't too fond of early advertising for the DS back in 04 and 05.

Woah in chinatown I actually saw a Saphhire for $20 and its cover was all shiny like the fake fire red one. I almost bought it too.

My 8-year-old cousin beat New Super Mario Bros, so it shouldn't be too hard for a 10 year old. Its one of those games where it's easy to die but hard to lose. The DSi is essentially a sexy DS Lite that has a shitty camera and a couple of decent downloadable games. Get the DS Lite for its GBA compatibility and lower price. Other games I'd recommend for kids: Nintendogs Any Kirby game Animal Crossing Pokemon
