Hard drive failure ?
Published (2009-11-26 05:56:00)
yes. MUCH better.   Here's the logic.   Big huge platter.  Data gets spread across the entire platter. So the drive head has to move across the entire platter to get to it right?  If your files are fully defragged, it's less of an issue, but are your files all going to be grouped together? If game file 1 is at the inside of the platter and game file 2 is at the outside, and three is somewhere else, that can be some pretty...

THQ Complete Pack on Steam!
Published (2009-11-26 21:35:00)
So you can get 18 THQ games/expansion packs on Steam for $50 this weekend. Probably the best package deal I've seen since the Orange Box came out. I already own a couple of the games in the pack but this deal is just too good to pass up! I should be happily gaming for months to come!

Remember the way MTBF is calculated, it's not an estimate of when it will fail, but at the rate it will fail.  So even with an insane number like 1 million hours. That means that if you had 1 million drives, you would have a drive failure every hour on average, NOT that in 1 million hours, all the drives would start to fail. Though in truth the way modern drives are, unless they fail outright ...

Seems obvious that a new vid card would be best lol. You've got the PSU to support pretty much any card you want as well. Which one is the best and what you need i can not say though.

Since I'm lazy, I'm going to ask you to sum up the costs of the items that you listed so we know how much room you have to work with (with respect to money). If you're going to go with a (relatively) high dollar limit, you might want to consider at least a Intel Core i5. Don't go too crazy on the PSU, most computers use less power than you think. Check out an online power calculator to get a *...

I suspect if you can't get it to format in windows or on the phone, there is a good chance it's hosed. You might try linux just to see if it can do anything wth it. You might also try a disk recovery program on it.  But chances are it's hosed. Here's the good news. Right now microSD (I'm assuming you are using this) are really cheap on the spot market. Buy the biggest you can get. The higher ...

Well mostly i want to know what the max number of people are going to be in per map. I enjoyed playing with up to 64 people per map and if the cap is like 32 that would suck. I may just hold off until i can get it for the usual 50 or even cheaper.
