When you see someone sporting a Confederate flag these days, do you automatically think that person is some complete jackass? I mean, slavery was the primary reason the Confederacy existed, and I think that anyone who claims that it wasn't is in a serious state of denial. Here's an excerpt from a 2000 article where that raging liberal John McCain discusses his stance on the issue: ---- ...

I'm reading Meg, by Steven Allen. I listened to it on audio book back when I was in high school, but when trying to figure out what to start today and coming up with nothing, I decided to read it again. He's written two sequels since, and I figured I'd better refresh my memory before I read the other two. Meg is about a prehistoric shark called a megalodon that's somehow survived at the bottom ...

I don't really understand why we can't urinate in public... it is normal... we are actually meant to urinate outside. It should actually be illegal to urinate indoors. Why are we stablishing unnatural laws? I am confused.

as a "global humanitarian and a noted leader." Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) took the stage at the sold-out Staples Center in Los Angeles, where she vowed to bestow a similar honor on the King of Pop. Jackson-Lee's 1,500-word resolution honoring Michael Jackson as a "global humanitarian" may be symbolic and heartfelt, but it's causing some nonsymbolic heartburn for the Democratic House ...

I've posted a few "your 5 fav movies" threads before, but this time i decided to change it up just a bit. tell me about a good movie that you like and why. NOT your favorite movie, just a good movie you like. I like the movie The Big Lebowski, because John Goodman as Walter Sobchak is just so incedibly gangster and he is just as funny as can be.

I think it won't be long before with enough money they can make a completely computer-generated movie and no one would even be able to tell. And once the technology ages a bit, it will probably be cheaper than hiring actors, building sets, etc. Quicker too. Do think this is an inevitability?

Other cars on the road looked as if they were standing still as you passed them? Do you often find yourself going really really fast without realzing it? Do any of you intentionally cruise really really fast? Do you do it often? Do you weave in and out of ...

Well, Congress (at the request of the administration) recently weakened the Dornan Amendment which prohibits Congress from funding elective abortions in Washington D.C. (Congress allocates funds for the District). Congress changed it by prohibiting federal funds to go towards abortion but allowing local funds to go towards abortion. But as Cardinal Rigali pointed out that because Congress ...

You will want the more intelligent guy to get the job if you are the manager most of the times and you will try to judge who is the more intelligent. What arong did the dumb guy did? Why is the more intelligent superior? He was born with it, nothing he could do about it. Why is it wrong if I want the white guy for the job instead of the black guy? I believe the white guy will do a much better ...
