Thing is, I don't see where that's a good thing. They always have mundane, repetitive gameplay. Look at Vagrant Story. In order to deal damage to undead, you need to hit undead with a weapon a bunch of times. The system is a pyramid. You start off dealing almost no damage and struggling with the system until you put enough work into it that it's a breeze. Same goes with FFXII's licence boards. FFTactics got it right, but...

I wouldn't mind it. I bought the whole FF8 main-cast, and missed out on FFX/X-2. I don't know if FFXII came out with them. So far, I'm happy with the new designs, so maybe I'll pick up a couple of them if I have some money laying around. I'll have to check out my local comic shop.

My only complaint about magic characters is that they are just useless. Completely outdone by the physical fighters if you just level them. I hope that magic is worth the time in this game.
