I believe the minimum wage is $12 per hour. Only a few years ago it was 9 I think. Just a few days ago, I bought a PS3 Slim which was $569, which is the cheapest in a retail store, and I purchased MGS4 half-price, with a hdmi cable. Finished MGS4 and enjoyed it thoroughly. I think some people would think it's expensive, even over here, but then again, this is the first time I've ever owned a Next-Gen Console near the start of its...

Well, it's not as bad as it sounds then. The price is still pretty steep, but if minimum wage is $12 hour, the average Joe could afford one. I believe the minimum wage here is under $8. It would be pretty hard for a guy flipping burgers to afford a PS3 at over $500.

299$ is sort of cheap. Over here the normal price is also 299, but in Euro. 300$ are currently something about 200. So we have to pay 50% more for the same product. (ok, i know american economy and income is other than european, but in a globalised world that just seems unfair.) I got my PS3 recently for 240 because german amazon had to compete with a supermarket chain that offered it below the normal price. Luck to grab this short offer....

Hey JB and KKK, talk about coming outta the wood work , great to see you guys around! Yes im considering a ps3 as i always have since launch day. Since i bought a 360 for dirt back last black friday, though, it will take a similar special deal to finally get me to "give it up" so to speak. This may indeed be the year! See you all around..

It's interesting to see Nintendo talk frankly about the slip in Wii sales and what they can do to change the situation. I don't really want to start a flame war or anything but (which nicely negates the first half of the sentence), it's the exact opposite of another console maker that insists it is the "#1 home entertainment console of the living room" or something like that.
