He is a very talented jazz guitarist, but by no means my favorite. I think he is a bit overrated in certain circles.

How CAN you get bored with Classical music? If a piece has great dynamics, the players have good intonation and it has different rythems, then it can't be boring.

I enjoy listening to Debussy, and it is usually quite fun to play. I am particularly fond of Reflets dans L'eau from Images and La Plus Que Lente.

DerShtinktier Hemmelig Yeah, I know nothing about jazz lol So i want y'all to rec me some Gypsy Jazz... Go! Django Reinhardt Father of Gypsy Jazz This. Good to look into Stéphane Grappelli as well, though he was launched by Django's Quintette du Hot Club de France, so I'm sure you would've found him eventually anyway.

There are several CDs compiling excerpts from operas where there are big chorus moments. As for specific ensembles involving specific singers (duets and higher): Verdi, "Rigolletto" Quartet (Famous for being two scenes at once with four different emotions) Donizetti, "Lucia di Lammermoor" Sextet (This theme's been taken and arranged numerous times) Delibes, "Lakmé" - the famous Flower...

master_euph It all matters on ones opinion. Age isn't the matter. But ti does take one's mind to mature to fully enjoy and take in what is classical music. People listen to classical music and they only listen to what they hear, because their ears haven't matured to grasp the real sounds and harmony in the song. And I'm sure someone's ears have to be "mature" enough to "appreciate"...

Ha, the right person for the question ^^ (the name) Well this was simple, Rachmaninoff (whom which I love!) and Brahms both used Niccolo Paganini's 24th Caprice for Brahm's Variation on a Theme and Rchamaninoff's Rhapsody on a theme (which I am listening to right now :])
as for my question: (It is classical at its basis I'd like to think...

I respect Zappa, tho I'm not a big fan. I have a few fav songs, but to me it gets hard to listen after 20 minutes or something. I don't find him funny and their live performance are boring. But again, he did some good stuff, it's just not my style.
