There are the Vampire novels I've read: 1) Vampire Kisses: Kind of boring to be honest. It's almost like reading Twilight (but about 2 times as better, I guess). It's interesting but the reason I got bored of it was because the storyline just dragged on and after the 4th book, it wasn't worth it anymore. 2) Twilight: so-so. End of Discussion. 3/10 3) Interview with a Vampire: One Word: AWESOME! ^^ I have to admit (and some...

"Cirque Du Freak" by Darren Shan was a fun read. Also, though I haven't gotten a hold of the book yet, the film for "Let the Right one In" was exquisite.

LiM3 TAFFY Alias Onyx RAIDEN LiM3 TAFFY Alias Onyx RAIDEN LiM3 TAFFY ((Wait, who was that directed at?)) not you. as a fan of both, it's stupid to even compare. twilight is romance with action/adventure; harry potter is action/adventure with romance. (Ah, okay, whew. Last thing I need is to get in a fight at... wow, it's like one in the morning here...) that would suck. i like when twitards say i'm a twilight hater, when...

BloodAngel95 Animus Inanis Ever heard of Let the Right One In ? Now that is a vampire story. None of this HS drama, sickeningly cliche and romantic crap. And what about Dracula , or Carmilla ? The fact that the groundwork for the vampire genre has been ignored really does annoy me beyond belief. On another note, my mother loved the Sookie Stackhouse books. And, despite the fact that they're romance novels, what she told me about them was...

Beranyth I love the endings to a lot of Chronicles of Narnia books. They like to have good, fulfilling endings with a touch of bittersweet sadness or a hint of mystery. The final book, The Last Battle, nearly had me in tears for the ending, but it was happy at the same time.
I was really, really disappointed in the ending for "The High King" in the Pyrdain (sp?) Chronicles series. It set...

This is probably the most elaborate Twilight bashing I've read thus far.
(But could you, just for giggles, put a "Neither" option in your thread's poll?)

I had a lot of favorites, but the one that I read so many times I almost had it memorized was The Call of the Wild, by Jack London. And after that White Fang. I have a copy that has both books in one volume. It's worn out terribly. Lol. The cover looks like crap.
