Magnus Cthulhu Once you've read a book where a man uses the severed head of a hooker to perform fellatio upon himself three times in one sitting, you've kind of crossed the boundary where things make you blush. I love decadence and debauchery too much, anyway, to be embarrassed about sex. What book was that?

SugarRos Miss Lissa Lindsey SugarRos Miss Lissa Lindsey I definitely have to start reading more sci fi. A lot of these sound interesting. I really enjoyed the Host though -- very different take on aliens, but it has gotten a lot of backlash from the twi-hate. I though it was much better then twilight. Still not the best book ever or anything, but still very good. I agree. I really enjoyed The Host, but *SPOILERS!!!* when Ian falls in love...

Eizoryu Ilaha Eragon Seconded. Not because it was stupid or poorly written, but because it was cliche out the a**. Boy finds jewel; jewel is actually dragon egg, local storyteller/mentor is actually father, predestined boy falls in love with beautiful elf chick who for some reason went completely against her racial abilities and needed rescuing, etc., etc., etc. *yawn* Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings already did all this kind of thing....

Lynxikat The Cirque du Freak series was poorly written in my opinion. The plot was interesting, but the writing style was just garbage. Also the Clique series and Daughter of the Moon series. In my opinion Darren Shan vampire books are brilliant!

I plan to start out small. Depending on if I finish fairly early, I plan on adding ten more books to the goal and so on and so forth. Therefore, I might end up reading 50 books this year. ;D

None really. I haven't been embarrassed by a book since I tried to read Gerald's Game at fourteen. I have since read it, and found it to be hysterical. There isn't much that'll get me to blush. whee

The way I found out about Neil Gaiman is by the Coraline movie. So I guess maybe
some could be made so that more people find out. But I'm not sure, only some, and
not most. xD It'd be weird if almost all his work were made into films/series...etc. (:

I'm interested on what will come of the "leaving Alagaesia forever" part that Paolini keeps hinting at, and its obvious that Ayra is the green dragon's rider.

You can't forget Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. But this list is great, I'll be stocking up on some of these!
Edit: And wow, I'm surprised you placed the Host by Stephanie Meyers up on your list. You're right though, I really did enjoy that book, although the ending was a little too... strange for me. -.-
Edit 2: Haha, whoops. Ender's Game is already up there. Never mind, then....

I did a quick search on Google and found a book called Covet: A Novel of the Fallen Angels .
This is from the publisher's note:
When Jim Heron becomes a fallen angel and must save the souls of seven people, he forever changes the life of businessman Vin diPietro by introducing him to a woman who makes him question his destiny, his sanity, and his heart.
