Dave, You could do without the belts and do a tee shaped aluminum attached to the bottom of the glass with a slot in the bottom part with a bolt and speed nut. I think the pictures that Chris M. posted is the way to go. If you have a road car you'r really not worried about weight. If the glass is done in Lexan ,mouldings, regulars and harnesses would not add more than 40lbs to the whole car. It's just more convenient and look's...

Wetsanding Mold Lines - Any Advice?
Published (2009-12-11 23:32:00)
I must say, the mold lines on the SLC are very impressive. I'm coming from FFR ..... quality ......, so when Fran told me I could wetsand polish them out and I'd be golden, I figured 'yeaaaa, riiiiiiight'. (again, remember i'm used to seeing mold lines 1/2'' + tall that need to be ground out) Anyways, started tackling them today and they knock down like crazy. 4-5passes with 1000 10 passes with 1500 10...

Hi You will have to go for #2 sulution. Be sure you have the exsact same gelcoat colour to fill in. If you have that you will be able to sand the new gelcoat down to an even and homogen surface equal to the "old" surface around. You will not see the repair at all. Be shure to do this on an aeria that is lagre enough, so that you not get the same problem you have now on the edges of the fixing point when you sand it down. Regards Trond

Some radio locations in DRB's in Australia. Side "pillar" mount of stereo with TV in Steve Shedden's red car, door mount in the blue car (probably using a remote), and more common dash mount in the green car.

My father had a Lotus Elite (the one with the Coventry Climax engine) in the 60s and on that the side windows were removeable and could be stowed behind the seats. Nothing to do with windows, but I remember taking a friend for a ride in it and doing 100+ mph on the road to the North of the thames between Kingston and Hampton Court bridges - and perfectly legal, I think! Nowdays I understand that that stretch of road is heavily speed limited....

Wear old clothes(it's really messy),and change paper often.Use a guide coat( I use a cheap flat black spray bomb) Let the paper grit do the work-if you have to push harder then the paper is clogged or done. The harder you push, the more likely you are to getting waves in the bodywork. Also sand in diagonal directions and change directions often(puts less scratch marks into the surface that you will have to get out with the next grit)....

Graham,
I will be doing it on my Chevron. I know all of the parts I will be using. It will be a matter of sourcing them. I will be using a power window regulator that we used in the trucks that we use to build here. It a cable driven system so it easy to set it up for any width size tempered side glass. Run channel with a miniwedge in the front and lower belt seal outer and inner. I will be ...

Tom,
I decided to use Mini hinges on my car as they were readily available and do look close to some seen in pictures. I very much doubt they were the exact part used on the original cars.
In looking around various car shows the only other types of hinges that seemed correct are those found on various Triumph TR models.
I recently noticed that Europa were selling something similar for ...

Gel Coat is very soft Go slowly Add a few drops of soap per gallon of water as it helps the paper release the material removed from the body Use a backer behind the paper so as to distribute the pressure from your fingers evenly across the paper.
Enjoy!

Randy,
I have not hooked my heater/AC up yet and don't plan to until the spring. I dug through my old pics and could only come up with the regular hookups like you see below. I think you and I will basicly have the same problem. As I see it, most heater hookups with mechanical water pumps have the hot water going to the unit under positive pressure from the pump and the drain line to the return...

In north america, I think that a company called racelinedigital (dot com) will have what you're looking for. They sell complete kits, and are based in Canada. I have no connection to them.
As for the color separating the orange and blue, I know Superformance does their Gulf paint job with either black or midnight blue trim...so I suspect that either would be historically correct.
