I think the one bright spot in this economic disaster is what will be forced on the Unions. With or without bail out money the auto industry will be restructuring every aspect of their business. About time. Not just the UAW but all the public employee unions as well. The deficits accruing in the blue states right now are of epic proportions and getting worse every month. Once the unions are busted we might actually achieve some progress in...

Quote: THIS ENDS NOW! No more bailouts for anyone! Restructure for the future or fail! Amen brother! But hide and watch. The Dems want this bailout and it will eventually happen. It ain't just to cater to the unions. Dems want control of the auto industry. Nationalized this, nationalized that, socialism on the march.

Quote: "Greedy Builders?" Is it greedy to sell homes for what people are willing to pay? If you put your house up for sale and 3 people were interested in buying it would you be "greedy" for taking the highest bid? When I say greedy builders I'm talking about the sub-divisions all over western NC that the builders did as I said above. They made 4 times more then they anticipated(Bravo). But now after...

Bad business traits will destroy any company. And, companies are destroyed by bad business traits. To bailout and reward a company for using bad business traits is not only socialism, it's insanity. I like what Ronald Reagan said: "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." Our government...

Quote: They do and they don't mention a thing about the many who have sacrificed their lives to protect us here in America from terrorism. The important thing here is that they have to do whatever it takes to get themselves re-elected.

Makamends wrote: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." - Ronald Reagan You took the quote out of context, which changes his intent for saying it. The whole quote is: "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'" - Ronald Reagan

They believed his promises? Wow! I'll bet they still believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, too. Didn't Dreyfuss notice when Obama said he'd take the public financing for his campaign and then chucked it when he saw he was going to get millions? Still think Soros is behind that.

Concerning low interest rates of banks, When interest rates were higher the more my banking account interest rate dividend grew,as the rate dropped so did the dividend drop, Not wanting to tie up funds in CD's or other longterm policies just left funds as was, @ .02 interest rate some what ridiculous when the bank was charging 7-8 % interest on loans.

Greg Reeson The Loft at GOPUSA In the December 1 edition of The Nation, Robert Dreyfuss argues that President-elect Barack Obama must resist pressure to stay in Iraq, and must make good on his campaign pledge to end the war he opposed as a state senator in Illinois. Dreyfuss says that the recent financial crisis moved Iraq out of the forefront of voters minds, making it more ...

Bobby Eberle The Loft at GOPUSA America is a capitalist nation, right? I mean, we're not China or the former Soviet Union, correct? In a capitalist economy, a person or group of people has an idea for a product or service, they start a business, and then one of two things happens. The business either grows or it doesn't. If it grows, more products can be made, more employees can be hired, ...

Bobby Eberle The Loft at GOPUSA As the dust settles on what many are calling an "historic" election, the soul-searching has already begun in Republican circles on how to rebuild. Let us be clear: the Republican Party is in shambles, and a top-to-bottom house-cleaning is in order. But, before we simply "throw the bums out," we must understand exactly what went wrong and not be misled ...

Chuck Muth The Loft at GOPUSA In a radio interview on Dave Berns State of Nevada program on KNPR out of Las Vegas yesterday, I said it was actually a great day for conservatives. Not Republicans. Conservatives. To which my friend and political pundit Jon Ralston responded that I must be in denial and hung over from crying in my beer election night. But I was, and am, dead serious. Let ...

Bobby Eberle The Loft at GOPUSA To say that we are in troubling times is a huge understatement. We have an organization like ACORN running around the country in a blatant attempt to steal an election. We have a Democrat presidential candidate garnering huge support by talking about "hope" and "change" while never being questioned about his socialist agenda. We have the media carrying his ...

Bobby Eberle The Loft at GOPUSA As the election draws to a close, a fierce battle is being fought in swing states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Obama is traveling around promising the moon, and no one is questioning him on what his policies will actually do. He promises a tax cut for 95% of Americans. They think it sounds great, but don't realize that the promise is completely ...

Greg Reeson The Loft at GOPUSA The Washington Post ran an article October 26 saying that an informal survey of staff members and foreign delegates at the United Nations revealed an "...overwhelming majority would prefer that Sen. Barack Obama win the presidency, saying they think that the Democrat would usher in a new agenda of multilateralism after an era marked by Republican disdain ...

Bobby Eberle The Loft at GOPUSA Thankfully, since being reported on GOPUSA and other sources, Americans are finally starting to hear about Barack Obama's socialist agenda. His income tax policy of taking money from one group and giving it to another group who doesn't pay income tax is simply a welfare program. With Democrats in charge of the U.S. House, Senate, and the White House, that's ...

Greg Reeson By now, everyone is familiar with Joe the Plumber, the guy made famous, even if only for a few short moments, with his question to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama about the candidates tax plan. Joe became an instant celebrity, embraced by the right and despised by the left for eliciting Obamas spread the wealth around response to Joes question. Joe began ...

Greg Reeson The Loft at GOPUSA The Wall Street Journals Politics and Campaign section had an analysis posted October 17 that casts doubt on the large lead Senator Obama enjoys over Senator McCain in some national polls. In Some Surveys Indicate Tighter Presidential Race, the Journal says that while some newspaper and television network polls show Obama with a commanding lead,
