What's "poor oil pressure", exactly? A number is necessary here. I typically see anywhere from 20psi at idle to just over 40psi at cruising speed. This is according to the terribly inaccurate gauge in the cluster. I use Rotella synthetic 5W40 oil.

I saw where you had purchased some miser injectors from SS. Did you pick up any mileage and did the power change? Thanks Cass

Thanks for the reply. Mine, of course, is the 2 piece. Can't the factory ever leave anything alone? So I guess I am still looking for a 2 piece seal flywheel. Anybody have one????????????

My power steering pump is leaking, and I found I can get a replacement w/o the reservoir at a pretty good price. What steps are there to removing the pump from the reservoir, and does it require any special tools?

The issue has gotten worse in the last coupla days. worse when truck is good and warm less when cold. I would surmise the Injection Pump is reaching critical mass. Accrate diesel has IP for 655 w/o PMD. Anybody bought their pumps?

The spare which came with my 99 Burb cost me $600. I recently bought a GM rebuilt, which fits all of the 6.5s except the oddball 1994 version, for $300. I do my own labor, so that is not a factor. Be sure it is the IP before spending the money for a replacement.

I replied to a private message about this, but I figured I could share my reply with everyone else too: It's hard to know whether I saw any improvement in mileage due to the "miserly" nature of the injectors. I definitely saw an improvement, but that may just have been because my old injectors were so overdue in the first place. The idle smoothed out drastically, and power increased ...

It depends if the 6.2 has a two piece rear main seal or a one piece seal. I think, but am not sure that all 6.5 engines had a one piece seal. Late 6.2 engines may also have had the one piece seal. The flywheel will fit both of those engines, but not an engine with a two piece seal. The rear hub on a one piece seal crankshaft is round so the seal can slide over it. A two piece seal crank has an ...
