Use only double flare or the newer bubble flare for joints never ever use compression fittings as they cannot hold the pressure in the lines. Keep any dirt, debris, metal shavings etc out of the lines and flush them with alcohol before you install them. Use a bending tool to keep from kinking the lines and try to reproduce the factory fit. Make sure to avoid contact points that can cause the line to rub through or rattle. Do a very good job as...

No particular problem with broken wires that I know of. There would be no coverage with modified doors even if they had a broken wire problem.

Well you are the first honest person to tell me that this is a known problem. Could I simulate a transmission input with a jumper? Or nothing so simple is possible.

So of course the dealer says they cant replicate either the starting issue or the fueling issue. I emailed them the video(with a little sound editing),lol. They dont seem to want to even entertain the video for some reason. They recommended we go to a hess station to put 5 bucks in, so we did and no issue. BUT, it wasnt a vapor recovery nozzle. The def know they have these issues and are playing dumb bigtime. I was getting oil and a filter for...

A gmt-400 truck should have a DRL/SPEEDO fuse in the side panel fuse center. #15 IIRC. Check your owners manual. I can only assume that if the drl indicator light on the dash is lit then the drl relay is good. Can you confirm that the DRL bulbs are in place and not burnt out? Also SOME models DRLs do NOT come on till the truck is in gear. This was how it worked on my 97 Silverado IIRC.

Often you have intake manifold gaskets failing not head-gaskets, you shouldn't get water in oil but it could happen... is it really surging like that or is it the tacho jumping? Maybe it is like the TCC is engaging and releasing ad nauseam. Man I hate automatics!

DIC question

Isn't there a trip version of the gallons/liters used? My 2004 has it, but I don't think it has a total since day one. Maybe you can't reset it, but I would think there is a trip version that is resettable.

yesterday i removed the wires from the coils one coil at a time to see if there was at least any arching between the posts and i finally found the cause of my problems. the first ignition coil (1 and 4) had no arching at all whatsoever the other two had bright blue sparks though so i went to pep boys and got a new ignition coil for 20 buck came home and in 5 minutes my car was running like new. i took off the wires just to see what the arch...

fuel lines blow. You'll need to run a new line. My experience with them.... was in the dark. If it's rusty, just replace the whole damn thing. You may need to buy 2 sections of line, with a straight through adapter. Also, make sure to get a new end for where the line comes into the wheel hub assembly. Have a well lit area, a drip pan, a couple wrenches, a pipe to bend the line with (if you ...

Re: 1996 Cavalier Blower Fan/Motor Just to throw it out there, it could just be a bad switch. If the fan is still moving air, the motor might still be fine. When you do have the fan on high does it still blow a lot of air, or is it weaker than what it should be. Also do you hear any noises. Just might thoughts, I could be wrong....

I'd have to agree with them on the SES light, the temp sensor is on the opposite side of the engine from where they should of been, and the throttle actuator really could'nt have been harmed, but who knows what they were doing. As in the rough ride now, your tires pry have some abnormal wear and the rotate put the worn tires wear you could hear or feel them.

Which transfer case seal are we talking about front, rear or the one next to the transmission? You say thick fluid, transfer case fluid is thin like transmission fluid, so I am a bit confused. You say axle are you talking about the front axle? If you are it spins anytime the front wheels are spinning. Cleaning off the affected area and looking for the precise leak point is usually a good ...
