Quote: My understanding was that on the first go around 3.0L CVT/ Freestyle days it was more about a bunch of little things - and the powertrain feel, if you will. The second gen ( Taurus X ) was more about optioned up pricing, interior trim appeal and AWD FE ( later when fuel prices rose ) - is there something out there on the station wagon 'look' ? Purely on my anecdotal evidence from women (the T-X's target market), they...

Quote: As of late August, the company had about 3,900 dealerships. Since a dealership consolidation program started in the summer of 2006, more than 500 stores have been eliminated. As part of that consolidation, the number of stand-alone Ford and Lincoln Mercury stores has fallen, and the number of Ford-Lincoln-Mercury stores has risen. I still can't believe that they are seeking to consolidate Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships under...

I could never get past the grill on the Camaro. Never looked right. Stang looks far better. Camaro already looks old to me and it is not even out yet. Hey, I hear it will have the Bullit's better sound and stiffer chassis. Nice.

Well, at least the platform will live on a while longer. From the perspective over here, its really the combination of high belt lines with the thick A/B pillar approach that has no appeal. Of the two, the pillars are the most annoying - the new Fusion for instance, doesn't appear to have that and in the world of belt lines isn't as raised up and 'glassed downed' as some - all good.

The base GT rims need to go, Also I hope the rockers will not be left unpainted as the current one has painted ones. It's nice to see painted mirrors finally made their way to the Mustang though.

Wow, that's bland. I hope there's a lot of fancy bodywork under that cover or else they should just call it the RSX.
