Last weeks CAMI production numbers*:
Chevrolet Equinox: 1,843
GMC Terrain: 876
Pontiac Torrent: 0
Suzuki XL7: 0
Total CAMI 2,719
Annual production rate: 130,512. Is that enough, or should GM open a second plant? Spring Hill could probably be up and running in 12 to 16 weeks.
My opinion: No second plant. Make LT2 and LTZ models day and night to maximize profit. Worry about the ...

Seems about what we expected as far as production numbers. Building all of
the core parts in-house seems like a no-brainer!

Gorgeous, i want one soooo bad. I can't believe that it will be another
year until they get here. If they bring them sooner, Chevy might finally
surpass Ford in pony car sales.

Does anyone know if that grille is 100% "fake" and thus makes the Volt a bottom breather? I love the bottom breather first gen Aurora as that is a great way to boost aerodynamics, which I am sure was a top priority when transitioning the Volt from the blocky Camaro-wannabe to the more slippery production Volt. I look forward to learning the Volt's cD.

When there have been more Camaros sold than Mustang, total, it'll be news

I like the overall shape, but I really don't like all the shiny black trim pieces, too much faux glass effect going on, doesn't create an image of quality. The interior is nice, and the center-stack switchgear looks interesting. I'm particularly fond of white in design (Apple fanboi here).

It sounds as if EDMUNDS enjoyed driving the Volt, and this is a good thing as it was the costliest project GM undertook next to the Saturn line. Also the information that the Volt may be fast-charged (within 3 hours) with 240 Voltage, is very positive. Upgrades to 240 Volts can be done by an Electrician, and most of us with Electric Air Conditioning, and Electric Clothes Dryers already have ...
