The cyberlink player obviously doesnt leave it up to Window to choose the decoder, and instead opts to use its own decoders etc. ie, "m2ts" is a file type that player was designed to play, so it gives special attention to that file type, wheras GB-PVR doesnt know anything about m2ts files and instead lets Windows choose which decoders to use. recording skipping and clipping
Published (2009-12-05 17:44:00)
As I recall, I had a similar issue initially with my PVR500. Download and install the latest drivers from Hauppauge's website, that fixed my problem. I believe it was something in the original drivers was messing up the time stamps in the mpeg files. If you want to keep some of the messed up recordings, I think there's a freeware utility you can run to fix the files. Good luck, -Brad

Try specifying your decoders in Config's Playback tab and select something other than the InterVideo Video Decoder. @Pob: .7z is a 7-Zip file (opensource compression library http://www.7-zip.org/ )

You could try the ScanChannelsBDA utility from here . AFAIK it should work with most DVB-T tuners.

It sounds like a signal reception problem. I see occasional signal drops with both my over-the-air antenna and my QAM cable setups. It usually only lasts a day or two, and may be due to weather or other service issues. However, you might want to check all of your cable connections to make sure nothing got bumped loose. I moved my computer a bit to clean a couple of weeks ago, and ...

You would have to edit the XML to change the name, using some type of commandline renamer ( http://fart-it.sourceforge.net/ ) I used that to add HD to end of my freeviewHD channels, so I could choose to record from there or not. I just added some lines to my download batch file which took a copy and renamed some channels.

I am getting desparate. Here is what I have tried: - Comprehensive virus scan - Comprehensive spyware scan - System restore to the day before the problem - System restore to a week before the problem - Resetting all the transfer channels to DMA No matter what I do, the video continues to have the problems I've described. It was perfect yesterday; awful today. If ...
