[FQuest Alert] PT06 POP Toaster...
Published (2009-11-25 00:58:00)
The PT06 Server issues have been resolved and the server is now running more smoothly than ever. In addition to the drive replacement and the RAID resynch, the mail administrator also made some configuration changes to tune the server for improved performance that ext4 has recently brought to the table. In short, everything should be working well now, and better than before today's performance issues.

[FQuest Alert] SEVEN Server
Published (2009-11-30 06:52:00)
The SEVEN server was returned to service after being power cycled. Because it had been running for 285 days, it required a file system check, which caused a delay. It appears to have been caused by an I/O hang. Event start: 5:23 AM ET Event end: 5:52 AM ET Event duration: 29 minutes Our apologies for any inconvenience, Arthur

[FQuest Alert] PT06 POP Toaster...
Published (2009-11-24 15:08:00)
The PT06 POP Toaster required a drive replacement that has been completed successfully. However while the drive rebuilds (resyncs) it is causing excessive loads on the PT06 server which is causing IMAP, including QuestMail access issues. To determine what POP Toaster your package uses login to your CNC and click on the Server Info link. http://www.FutureQuest.net/GoToCNC/ The technicians are doing all they can to speed this process up however...

HC03 is back in production... Unfortunately, there was no kernel OOPs to check against and the end result was an I/O lockup... We have reverted to an older kernel that has proven to be a bit more stable...

The new debugging type kernel is turning out to be more unstable than the prior one therefore I am reverting back... It is not all a loss though, as this debugging kernel has provided us with new information that has lead us to a problem with the dcache locking system... Unfortunately, this is one of the most difficult caching subsystems to debug as it is the hottest and most active cache ...
