Thanks for the links, y'all! Can't wait to check those out. I thought of y'all when I was standing at the thrift store bins today, digging through mounds of fabric. I was thrilled to find: three pieces of coordinating upholstery fabric to make pillows from, some with beautiful gold embroidery, each for .79 to 1.78 one yard of solid color upholstery fabric similar to pillow pieces, $1.48 3 yards of heavy ticking, 60" wide,...

The sun has FINALLY come out! Maybe I can get the yard raked today or tomorrow. It is supposed to rain again Friday. Raking leaves is the only thing left on my list to do!

FF - we know you don't have any yet, but we know that you will find them - if they exist - you'll be there!! DC - haven't looked around to see what I have for handles - might use two strands of 4-5mm rattail for a fancier look - could even use fabric scraps. Haven't tried sewing yet - but if I get antsy today, I might see if I can run one up as a sample.

The elastic wore out and now makes a crunchy sound when it is stretched. The print of the material is very in style for a shorter skirt (under knee not near ankle length). I have already cut ...

I made a t shirt quilt. I just tied mine though. I was making it in secret for hubby so it had to be done quickly while he was away and the baby slept. I have never machine quilted (only hand quilted) so I'm not sure how that works. Good luck

My moms machine did that a lot and it ended up being the bobbin tension. The repair consisted of a new bobbin casing. I would try adjusting the bobbin tension and if that doesn't work, you may want to invest in a new bobbin casing.
