Good for you for standing your ground. Anyone with 1/2 a functioning brain cell should be able to see this woman is acting like a spoiled little brat in a public forum and will most likely ignore her anyway, or comment on her immaturity. You are definately being the better person. Cat

I say let's call this massive PMS week lol. I can see the men scurrying now to hide the sharp oobjects. It's better today and I know what you mean a bout the panic attacks. I've had them for years. My dh didn't believe in them until he saw me going through one. He believes it now. Don't worry about the tea comment that was my mood talking.

"All's Well That Ends Well"! Glayou were up front with her. I'm sure it made a 'world of difference". On my local freecycle and giving boards, many members post their garage sale date. When it's over, they post again for a 'first come, first served' free for all. Also many people say in their posts that they don't care what you do with the stuff, they just want it gone. Others ask...

It's been awhile since I've posted. It's time for me to get back into the frugal business. I've been unemployed almost a year now due to medical problems. I'm considering applying for disability and food stamps. My husband and I are struggling pretty bad right now. I'm going to dedicate myself to becoming the household engineer that I should be. Time to start back cutting ...

OK, I already KNOW that there is an animal hierarchy, and that all animals have to forage/hunt for their food, etc etc. BUT, we have had a raccoon hanging around at dusk (not something new) and this particular guy is becoming more and more aggressive and a pest. He prowls on our porch and deck at night and knocks stuff over (no big deal) and scratches around in my flower ...

I put up 5 Sue Grafton hardcovers for auction on eBay. I priced them at $4.99. The bidding is up to $51.02!!! 22 hours to go! This is VERY exciting for me! I have another lot of 10 mystery books with no bids, but 3 watchers. I'm hoping I get at least the minimum for those. But, considering the sale of the others, I'm not complaining!

Dh is taking a week's vacation in August during our 25th anniversary. We already have plans for a night away from everyone. My SIL has been helping me do the final edit on the book and in the process, she's been really loving some of the chapters. She got to the Stockpiling chapter of the book and guess what? DH and I are doing pretty well with the frugal lifestyle, we've paid off the credit cards, no car payments or anything and we are working on a fully funded Emergency Fund. We have a long way to go with the FFEF. I have been working on the computer all night and I just ran across her death announcement. "The Yorkshire-born star died in the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford this afternoon. Food and eating, especially eating out has gotten so hard. Recently the doc told me that what I thought was just food bothering me was actually food allergies some life threatening . So there are a few I have to avoid and many more that she would prefer that I avoid, including that "can't figure out what it is something that is in some mainly Italian food". So eating out has ...

Well, as some of you know, my husband and I are separated. Long story short, he was drinking too much and I had to ask him to leave for the safety of the kids. He has started cleaning himself up, but is still a long ways off from moving back in. Well, he is staying at his parent's house, along with another of his brothers who just had a liver transplant (can you say runs in the ...

It pays to be a nudge - 28 new posts

I finally got the hospital bill for my dd's appendectomy that happened way back on Palm Sunday. It seemed higher than I had estimated. Dh said, "Just pay it". But me being me, I just couldn't, so 3 phone calls later I got the bill reduced by $2000! They had not deducted his employee discount from the bill. So he can call me a nudge and pest, but he better do it REALLY nicely....
