That sounds like a ton of fun and totally price right. My step father goes to these in Ohio and really enjoys them. Nice day out for something different to do. Glad you enjoyed it.

Unusual snacks - what are yours?...

Instant noodles (drained, no seasoning) or whole wheat pasta with peanut butter - yum! (think Thai food ) Sometimes I'll toss in raisins or diced up dried apricots along with slivered cucumbers and/or bean sprouts - green onion and bacon bits for extra flavour lol

The "OH, I made too much for us and it will all go bad, so I brought a plate of it over for you, since I really appreciate how hard your son is working on the lawn" is a good way to get a foot in the door and assess for yourself. It doesn't include leaving food anonymously (which, if someone did that at my front door, I wouldn't eat); it doesn't include offering assistance now or in the future; it doesn't...

Do You Collect Anything Offbeat?
Published (2009-11-07 16:00:00)
I have, since I can remember, collected salt cellars - little dishes that were used at each place setting with tiny ss spoons for salt - usually paired with tiny ss pepper shakers. We used that my grandmother's home. A dear friend shared some of her mother's with me a long time ago. Such little treasures with great memories!!

He says there is about 2700.00 of damage to it so he gave us the option of keeping and fixing it or totaling it out. He said he couldn't get his computer to connect to his wireless thingy to find out it's worth(duh you are out in the country) but he figures we will get 3000-3200.00 if we total it. We told him to find out and call us and then we will decide what we want to do. If we can get a fair amount we will just total it. We...

What products are made in America ?
Published (2009-11-07 15:33:00)
I have also heard even if it is made in america many of the parts to make an item came from overseas. Although I have heard corncob pipes are definately american. I do think it is good to support american companies though. Especially with todays economy.

Just adding my "I agree" to the ones above. The law firm cannot "demand" you repay it in a certain amount of time. Definitely not 14 days. Make them prove you owe the money and them make a payment plan that does not put you in a difficult position. All they could do after that would be to take you to small claims court, in which they would lose if you have offered a repayment plan, so it wouldn't be...

I'd love a dictionary collection, that sounds awesome! The miniature shoes sounds a bit more odd than dictionaries to me - unless of course you have miniature feet.
We have a ton of books, but aren't really collectors of anything.

Well I love all the things you mentioned up there but I also really enjoy word puzzles like word search and crosswords, suduko's and I really love to throw myself in to a big 1000 or 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle. I know what you mean about the reading though. It seems to be feast or famine here. I find 10 or 12 books in a row I just love and read like a crazy person or I go months without being able ...

I'm kind of thinking we should approach the mom and just let her know that her son is saying these things about their family. Whether or not they're true, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be too happy - but like Cea I don't have a clue what the best thing to do here is...

~It is a strange and nasty flu! The fact that it prefers healthy young people is especially scary, I think, because you can be doing everything right health-wise and it'll still lay you out.
I'm glad he's already been to the doctor and you have medication. Hope he's better very soon!~
