Hi Kevin
In order for your PAP2T to connect the call immediately after you dial you need to set up a
dial plan. On the web configuration page under the "Line x" tab at the bottom there is field for a dial plan. The dial plan tells the PAP2T which numbers to match, for example:
(*xx|8xxxxxxx|0[2-9][2-9]xxxxxxx)
matches feature codes, 8 digit number beginning with 8 and 10 digit ...

Hi,
I was searching for 7961 support and came across your post. Is this officially support it and was it difficult to make it work? I'm planning to use 7961 on the my next PBXtra install.
TIA.

Go it working with the config on the page above. I had to remove the natEnabled entry, as well as a timeFormat24hr line I had added to get the
date format working correctly. Said the phone was Unprovisioned until I did that. Worked for a Cisco 7975 as well.

That will work fine as long as your server has SIP mapped to a public IP.

There are only very specific versions of firmware that work properly on the 79xx phones. I have a 7970 myself and cant find a good working firmware version. I am using a much newer one but as soon as a call comes in, it kills the first line from then on. Would be nice if someone posted a matrix of the best firmware to use with each phone model.

You do it on the phone, and not the SIP file.
Here is how to do it:
1: Hit settings button.
2: Go to Call Preferences.
3: Down at the bottom, or option 9, is "Speed Dial Lines"
4: Select which line you want to add a speed dial to.
5: Give it a label and number and click "Accept"
Now you have a speed dial! :)
If there is a way you do it from within one of the cnf files ...

You are confusing http and tftp provisioning. End point manager writes to tftp directory. You can hand the phone the tftp address via DHCP option 66 or configure it manually.
If you want to use http provisioning I would make a symbolic link of the
configuration file in the web root which is /var/www/html
