I think MS is as anxious for this as you are... instead, folks need to point at the providers of the accessories. ?In your case, go after Kenwood! ?It's trivially easy for MS to provide the software driver they need to support zunes- probably for free. ?It's not so easy to convince Kenwood to accept it and ship it in their units...

Yeah, what I'd probably do is when I'm done listening to music just plug it into my speaker sysem. But really, Microsoft, every major device has a built in alarm clock. Dammit, even the Creative Zen Vision M has one. It's so stupid that there isnt one already. Former Zune30 owner, current 32gb owner ZuneBoards.com

I would like to lock folders in the Zune that can only be accessed with a code.? Therefore if there are sensitive photos/videos they cannot be accessed by anyone.? Thanks

Locking the screen when watching...

When you watch a movie or a video on the Zune HD any tap to the screen will bring up the playback controls. This happens a lot, and can get annoying fast. When watching videos you should be able to press the power button and still watch the video, or a lock feature as on the Zune30.

My fix would be different. First off make auto-locking optional so that the screen still dims but can be brought back by simply touching the screen. Top button can be used to lock the device. Then why not make use of multitouch. Two finger swipe up/down to change the volume any time - very little margin for error for two finger swipe. Then use the side button to flip between whatever and the playing now screen. Remember, what we love about...

you r totally right. flash would kill the ipod touch. goin on hulu or dailymotion or youtube to watch videos would rock, but they already confirmed it wouldnt have flash. perhaps later on? and i really want to no when they are gonna release the 64 gig zune hd!

actually, if the device is on the Now Playing screen, you can tap anywhere not occupied by a "button" and it brings up the playback controls i don't think you should be adjusting anything while driving... that's kinda unsafe period, since your eyes would be off the road....

That would be insanely expensive. It's very hard to get flash memory up that high, and even so, it's very costly. Even 64 GB is pushing it. For right now, I'm seeing 32 as the highest they are going to go.

I like it. think it's a good idea if you have friends with Zunes.. Would have to not accept duplicates.. to keep some drunk ahole from sending the same lame song over & over again..
Don't think you could do it for a store though. Exhibition rights for the music would be a problem.. maybe...
