As stated in the MP3 FAQ, for any immediate download/purchase issues... you need to call Zune support via phone as soon as it happens.

This actually happened to me earlier today. ?For reasons I cannot explain, the software downloaded the free track (in the zune newsletter) completely, and even created an artist and an album folder in the zune audio folder. ?But the album folder was empty... ?strange. ?I looked in the recycle bin- nothing. ?I opened the Norton Protected Recycle bin...and there it was. ?(Norton protects additional files beyond what is in the std recycle bin.)...

Exactly......get rid of that one!!! Its absurd.....new term "Forum Spam" (I like it) ........is there an app for blocking?that content? LOL!!!! Zune is AWESOME!!...since Nov 2006 Black30GB and Pink30GB (my wifes'!!!)

From the Zune Marketplace... within the Zune Software. So basically I go to the Zune Marketplace, search any artist, and cannot instantly play music. I must download the track in order to hear it, cannot stream like I used to.

I also have the same problem with the most recent album that I've purchased. 4 of the songs "failed" to download and you can't redownload any of them.

How do you go about blocking socialapi.zune.net? I would love to know as I am having the same slowness issue. Update: I used my hosts file to block socialapi.zune.net and now the navigation is lightning fast. Cant the Zune team do anything to stop the hangups on socialapi.zune.net?...

mp3's have an mp3 logo on the album cover (lower left corner) in the marketplace. what file 'properties' are you trying to edit? when you say it that way, it sounds like you are editing the metadata by right clicking the file itself- if so, yes you are blocked on protected files. But use a tag ...

1) It's useful information discography wise. 2) Just because Microsoft doesn't have the rights to sell it doesn't mean you cant buy it somewhere else ie. Amazon usually has those songs. 3) Same as 1) useful information

Contact Zune phone support; they should be able to help you. (I'm assuming some of your video purchases do work, and the DRM part of Windows is working correctly... so this is just a problem with a specific purchase.)

If some of your protected content is working, then it's likely a specific license issue and not a problem on your system... if you can't restore these impacted protected tracks from your purchase history, you'll need to contact Zune support for possible resolution.
