QUOTE (Onehots2k @ Dec 2 2009, 10:58 PM) Huh? Base Civic 26/34 Fiesta 30/38 Different class if you ask me. My wife has a 2008 Civic LX 4-dr. She gets 30 mpg all day long in the city and an EASY 38 mpg on the highway, with four people in the car. 40+ mpg is easily obtained for pure highway driving. Not saying the same couldn't happen in a Fiesta or Fit, just that you get a lot more SITTING room in a Civic, despite less usable cargo space....

Philosophical car purchase question
Published (2009-12-03 17:13:00)
Yeah, it all depends. On a car like an s2000, getting exactly what you want may be worth the extra 1000 bucks. Something to consider, is this a toy/second car or is this going to be your primary car. Do you have a current car? Is there a clock ticking forcing you to make a decision by some date? How do you know it;s 1000 bucks over market, that's a pretty accurate determination considering it;s a newer s2000. --------------------

My first thought was the Zonda, then Konegg... Hey, Russians are very smart, don't dismiss them or their ability to create anything, including autos.

I heard after Bubb Rubb's mild 15 minutes of fame they had a DVD documentary of him and followed him around in his daily life. To this day I don't think anybody has that DVD nor was it sold to be copied/burned. Shame... what a shame..

What is "overpaying?" Are people overpaying for Mugen radiator caps? Are people overpaying for First Class airfare or a gourmet meal? That's a pretty vague question and depends entirely on you.

Odd that the seatbelts are on the wrong side, and it doesn't look like it has airbags. Proportions are a little of, but not a bad look overall. Couple of odd design elements like the air vents.

Ford’s latest four-cylinder offering will be mated to either a five-speed manual transmission — expected to return 29 city, and 38 highway mpg — or the six-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automated manual, which is projected to be rated at 30 city, 38 highway in normal trim. A special SFE package bumps the highway fuel economy up to 40 mpg. I dont see why one would want a ...

That's pretty cool. They said Glocks would fall apart because they were made from plastics, but they are now the gold standard of reliability in handguns.

I think the hype is a lot like the Audi thing or the Suzuki thing, but the underlying problem is a design defect with how Toyota makes mats/gas pedals for its cars. Its not an obvious problem, but considering the cost of the fix, Toyota wants to be proactive on the PR side.
