Congratulations on your engagement! It's difficult to say what "most" brides do in general. In my own experience, most brides I've encountered order centrepieces rather than make them themselves. I think some brides tend to underestimate everything that will be happening on the wedding day and depending upon your centrepiece needs, it might be a little more to take on than necessary. There are ...

The alcohol question depends a bit on the crowd -- if your guests are all staunch non-drinkers or, for religious reasons, say, you and your family don't drink, then of course booze is not necessary. If that is not the case, however, generally speaking, alcohol is considered a festive addition to any celebration and I ...

What information would you post on your website that was specific to ceremony guests only? Time and directions? Include the ceremony specific information as part of your enclosures for those guests in their invitations. Keep your website for all guests, that way you don't have to risk hurt feelings/confusion.

That's a lovely idea. You can really do it however you want! I recommend being as relaxed about it as possible. Maybe when you're about to pop your bottle together, announce to the group and ask that one volunteer from each table pick up their bottle and join with you to pop the corks!
