( Hi Bowlman Here is what i think is happening. Your one \(out of 4\) computer has quickbooks now upgraded to R9 patch \(using the auto patch mechanism\). Rest 3 out of 4 are still on old patch. ( QB 2008 is not officially supported on Windows 7 by Intuit \(although Microsoft lists it as compatible\). I found that I had to approach it in a different way than more up to date versions. ( Hi Aged, We have seen this situation occur when the file is located on a server and the server has not been update to R9 or the data file was not first opened locally on the server to update it. IF your file is on a server you should first go to the server and make sure it is updated to R9 then open the file locally on that server. THen you will be able to open it on your workstation.
