OK, I've checked your Smugmug site (http://jkingston.smugmug.com/Other/Panasonic-test/) for exif details and here is my non-expert opinion for each picture: # quite normal for iA mode, exactly what you should expect from non-DSLR, even advanced one. # f8.0 was not necessary for this shot, and ISO 125 not needed either. Try to stay at ISO 80. And f4.0 is what some people consider here as a sweetspot for LX3. # same as above for f8.0 #...

Well, I guess we all have different experiences. I too have been wearing glasses nearly my whole life (since I'm 10). I've been wearing progressive lenses for over 20 years, so I'm well accustomed to my glasses. My prescription is just fine. What can I tell you? I am not comfortable using the LCD instead of a VF which every camera I've ever owned has had --- maybe it's just a matter of getting used to something new....

ZS3 compared to the TZ5?

I cannot comment on the one you show, except to say it looks exactly like my genuine leather Panasonic case. I have owned several LX3s and always bought the DMW-CLX3 case, even though it costs a ton. It is such a fine case and looks great. It is worth the money, is all I can say. I unsnap the front when going out on a shoot, carry the camera around my neck with the back portion of case attached....

I have the "old school" bifocals which work fine. I tried progressive, but had the same problem you're having.

$499 is the lowest I could find from reputable dealers. The LX3 seems to be in short supply most of the time, so retailers aren't discounting.

I have both, and each has its place. The LX3 is a fantastic bargain; it is an extremely high quality $500 Leica lens attached to a free body. The LX3 has the great wide angle zoom range and superb close focusing performance, and the dynamic B&W mode is great for street photography. All in a very small (almost too small?) package. Just an awesome, high quality, all around P&S camera. The ...

I recently replaced the crappy wrist strap that came with the camera. I hate these ones they give you that are not adjustable. It's like they want it to fall from your wrist. Anyway, I picked up this olympus one. Seems ok, and its not some bulky thing. About same size as the crappy included one. http://www.adorama.com/IOMWSABK.html?searchinfo=ol ympus+wrist+strap I'd really advise ...

huh.. That is the question the every second person that considering LX3 asks here. Nothing bad in it really. ..but let me answer it in non ordinary way: are your eyes enough for you to see the world around or you always walk with pair of binoculars on shoulder? :D

I'm also getting really great low-light shots with the ZS3 with very little noise....very happy. https://secure.smugmug.com/Other/Paris- September-2 009/Paris-ND2/654020099_dvNrb-L.jpg https://secure.smugmug.com/Other/Paris-September-2 009/Paris-Eiffel3/654017274_nVkXk-L.jpg http://ronannarbor.smugmug.com/Other/Cedar-Point-2 009/CP-TwiExpCB/627181707_4nc2V-L.jpg

I got the blue one and love it, its the most solid looking out of all the colours. Both the silver and black appear to use plastic, but that may just be my perception.

As it gives the user no control over sound levels, I can't imagine it working any better for you. The audio circuit overloads easily, as well as having a crummy sampling rate, so it's not suitable as a one box solution if you care about sound.
