Hi Richard! I think I have figured out most everything I was trying to do with a little experimenting-- a HUGE thanks to you for putting me on the right track and taking the time to help me through the problems. I have one more minor issue that I couldn't quite figure out-- when I click on a link, it disappears in that same page unless you hover over it. For example, the GP.TV link under Movies brings you to another page, but back on the...

actually the site seems to be workig absoultly fine from where im looking at it from in all mainstream browsers for the PC... I so see an issue though which is confusing. you see just underneath your title in the code, you have script src="../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js" Well this should be a folder in your root called Scripts with the file AC_RunActiveContent.js inside it, but this is actually directing it up one level from your...

Spry Tooltip is relatively new tool (CS4 only) so maybe you are discovering a bug. You should report it to Adobe so they put it in the fix list. *Always share a link to your site and rate the posts. This is a free service for you and for us.

Thank you Richard!! I had that script loose in the directory instead of in a "Scripts" folder. I had so many swfs loading at different times I automatically assumed it was a problem with that. That you for taking the time to help me :) It's working now!! YEAH!! Sandra :)

Published (2009-12-01 14:34:00)
Thanks Fernando, for proving I'm not crazy! The other browsers were kinder to my video file than Safari. It looks like my angst was simple caused by the particular flv files I was using had a graphic on the first few seconds of video that did not fill up the entire frame. Appreciate all your your help though...

A few weeks ago you assisted me in using an floating page to show a video to the bottom right of the browser screen, now I have a question as to how you were able to make the FLV file have transparency so that anything behind the girl and dog was shown and not a white or black background. Thank you for any insight or assistance you can provide on this topic. Mikkell Khan Director Diamond Films Ltd. (Trinidad and Tobago)

Published (2009-11-24 15:23:00)
I am having a similar problem. I am new to Dreamweaver CS3, but managed to design my website and upload it. My website looks fine in IE 8 but my graphics are all over the place in Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5. I learned to setup Dreamweaver files using the http://www.Lynda.com tutorial, so I think they are okay. My website is http://www.thehealingbodyonline.com Can you advise. Thanks much, Betty

Hi Tom, OK, first issue you have, which does not show in newer versions of IE but will show up on IE7 or less, is that you have wrapped the menu items in DIVS but aligning them to the left using the WYSIWYG functionality of dreamweavero n a spry menu. the spy menu appearence must only be altered by altering the CSS, and at some point you have clicked inside the menu to align the menu ...

When you insert a SWF some javascript must be called from the header of your document. If the template blocks your header code, then you get the error. A quick fix is to detach your page from the template: > Modify > Templates > Detach from template Then, attach again the SWF. But know that your page will no longer be updated with the template. I hope this helps *...

You need to detach the window from it's full size view. In the top corner of your document window there's the expanded button. Depending if you are on a Mac or PC the icon will be the one of your system for expanding windows. Press it, the window will detach and you'll be able to select another size for that window. I hope this helps *Always share a link to your site and rate ...

You can place a direct link to an mp3 file. Or, you can embed the file inside a SWF. There are some sites that offers you the code to embed a player from Google, Yahoo or Odeo, but I'm not sure if that's completely legal. *Always share a link to your site and rate the posts.
