Godaddy ssl - Google checkout API

kilko: BobbyK43: As far as I know google checkout will work with any SSL certificate. You can actually get rapidssl certificates much cheaper than GoDaddy certs, and they're a lot easier to setup as well. See these ssl certificates . You can get RapidSSL certificates more cheaper at Servertastic where they cost only $10-$13 HTH, Nice find!

Set up your own server. Have the tech department get ahold of Microsoft licensing, the software for educational use is almost free. Far less than a hosting service. Jeff

alinsan03: ... is it really necesary that for a decent hosting i have to pay for it. Thx I would say for a decent hosting plan, then the answer is going to be "yes" you will have to pay something for it. Personally I like using discountasp.net because they offer a 30 day money back guarantee plus an alternate URL and FTP to test with. I can't tell you the number of times this has come in handy...

Ok, would each student have access to their own SQL server? How does the licensing work on that from the provider's standpoint? Do they have to purchase a sql server license for each virtual server? Thanks Bob

Hi, I'm interested in dedicated hosting where I can serve as many websites as I want on a single server. I don't want to worry about server maintenance, backup, licensing, etc. Could someone recommend a good web host that provides dedicated hosting?

Hello folks, I am looking for some ideas on a hosting solution. This will be for a small college which offers classes in web site development using asp.net and SQL server. Would it be possible to obtain a hosting solution where each student would have access to a separate virtual server which would keep each account separate. There would be about 75-80 students per semester. Thanks Bob...

I am shopping for web hosting plan, and come across web.com. After some research, I notice that they are hosting 5000+ domains using a single IP address. Does anyone know if this is a good thing or a bad thing in terms of reliability and speed? Thanks!
