Inking tutorials by Amy Hadley: Honestly, one of the easiest to understand inking tutorials out there. More manga-looking than her work on Madame Xanadu, but still very useful and can be applied to other styles. http://tentopet.livejournal.com/12935.html and a more recent (video) tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkG4thivSgo 2nd link is good, but not as great a ...

I'll be doing it again this year. It's a great writing exercise, and I've come out at the end with both partial and full rough drafts. My first attempt ended up about halfway through the story (it was longer than I'd originally imagined) while still making the 50k goal, and the second one came out complete. For my second year I worked off of a key plot/notecard system, and I think that's what I ...

I've never actually consulted a book on marker rendering, a lot of it is really just playing around with them. However, I wouldn't be surprised if one of my teachers has a book or two on how to use them, so I'll check that out tomorrow and post back. If not, I might be able to give you some kinda step-by-step lessons, I'm pretty good with markers.
