They basically admitted to the fact this is an issue and is the reason why they dont have this part in stock as they have had to replace so many under warranty. Of course using someone elses pipe will void warranty so unless I want to start modding now I will have to wait!

I know, its excellent. The mods should have a wedding or formal car section in each state. Its all credit to the individuals offering their time and car, couldn't be happier! My soon to be mother inlaw was pushing Holdens/HSV's for wedding cars as my fiances family all own SS's and HSV's, I put my foot down and said "NO, I'd rather walk".

I have recently changed my factory air box for an SS inductions type. (If you like noise you would enjoy one of these) If I can remember correctly when I was changing it over the connection of the hose to the air box just sits up against the lugs. On the throttle body end the piping is different and has a locator lug assembly which keeps the pipe in the correct plane so to speak. From the noise I was hearing on your recording I would be...

I heard this on my uncle new G6ET 2 weeks ago I thought at the time that's not right I thought he broke traction when changing gears? TC kicking in maybe? It would only be a fly sh*t in time you loose spark and I gues a fly sh*t in unused fuel out the rear just the same why to save gearbox? a assume the 270kw BF f6 didnt do it why now.

In order to reach the new performance figures, the engine features re-designed inlet and exhaust systems, a strengthened piston and conrod assembly and a totally re-calibrated engine to maximise response and driveability. More than 23,000 hours were spent in design and validation, with durability testing and calibration conducted across Australia and track testing performed at Winton Raceway in regional Victoria. “The F6 gives increased...

I don't think it would do any damage but I'd think with a boost leak you're also loosing some power. Take it to a dealer and take them for a drive.

no you cannot. If you are not legally allowed to drive that car, then you cannot make a claim with you as the driver. Maybe if your lucky, you can Get the other driver to say your dad/mum was driving. But there is a slight chance of that happening.
Btw how did you get insured to drive the car if your on p plates? Unless you lied on your insurance papers?

I have a reasonably new FG F6 and have only recently been getting into the higher rev range and have noticed the induction noise seems much louder than while running in.
It actually sounds and feels great but I am worried there is a leak somewhere. I have checked all the joins from the airbox to the turbo plus the boost seems normal. It makes no real induction noise while revving the car at a...

mate need a bit more info. how old, driving history, where you live, used for work? There are so many variable's with insurance. best bet is to ring around. if you are under 25 just cars, shannons and rhino are the only people who will touch you. If you are over 25 you shouldn't have any problems
