unless your buying quick struts from monroe you're gonna need a spring compressor first. that lower arm has to drop down a ways to get that strut out. it's a
pretty basic r&r.

I have an 02 with the V6
I can remove my filter by hand but only when I get a filter that has a grip on the end
and I don't need to
lift it up to change the oil but I do anyway

I have a 2004 E.B. V8. I have had all of the wheel bearings replaced because of noises and vibrations.
Come to find out wheel bearings are a big problem with these Explorers. I would look there first.
