Power window, door open warning...

Most of the cases with that happening on the older ones, (I haven't dealt with the newer ones), it was the switch on the door latch. They probably are the same type. Welcome to the forums.

need some help!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't been able to find where the lights are grounded too, its been pouring down rain for the past couple days so i haven't worked on it again. If i have to, would i be able to splice the ground wire if i find that there is a break in the wire somewhere? That area of the engine bay is so tight i might have to pull the headlights off in order to get in there. Where did you find the layout of the...

Looks like the problem is fixed. Not sure if it was the wires, the lucas fuel treatment, or the leak I had after the maf sensor. Have not checked MPG yet but hopefully that was related. Thanks again Bert, you saved me some cash and throwing parts at the problem. Oh yeah, the best part is the thumb is feeling better!

Power window, door open warning...
Published (2009-11-27 10:41:00)
My 2006 Mustang thinks that the passenger side door is not fully closed. The door ajar warning light is always on and the window will not close all the way up. The wind noise and rain is driving me nuts! The door closes solidly, and locks securely. The window does the full auto open and close, except it doesn't ever go all the way up. I did the window motor regulator reset trick, but that didn't work. Probably because there is...

Just a thought...does your car have an MAP or an Air charge sensor under the intake manifold?

There still could be codes. Do you have the defrost on when it does this? maybe the A/C compressor is cycling.

Sounds to me like you have a bad ground. Here's a wiring diagram for the lights. If the ground is bad on one side, the headlight will follow the other wire to the other headlight to ground. Check the grounds.

How about the bushings in the mounts? Are they all tight? When do you get the popping sound? Over and over or when you stop, or turn or take off?

Looks like the next gen 2.5L I4 Ecoboost engine in there! It doesn't impress me at all. Looks something like that Chip Foose fellow would try to design and build. A chopped Hyundai Accent on steriods comes to mind. I do like the rear pop up doors though. That's different. The odd style headlights(?) remind me of the current Buick Lucerne V6 - three holes per side justifying what's under the ...
