Do any of you who aren't from WV own any fiestaware? It's made here and MiseEinPlace and I have been having our own little private profile and photo album discussion about it, so I couldn't help but wonder if anyone else has fiestaware pieces. I have started a small collection and I plan to expand on it with full place settings soon.

Does anyone here use a bread machine to mix your doughs? I've been baking bread since I was a teenager and used the old-fashioned method of kneading it myself but since the invention of the bread machine, I found it's so easy to just throw ingredients in for a pizza crust and an hour later it's ready. I don't see any difference in quality from making it by hand either. I do have two ...

I don't know how it is everywhere else, but my mom and I went to Linens n Things yesterday in River Forest, IL and they're going out of business. It was 20% off most everything in the store (a few things were 40% off). We bought some things for our new pantry. Then today we were in Wisconsin and we thought maybe we could pick up some things at the Linens n Things in Racine it was completely gone...

How many of you have bought a small kitchen appliance and found out that the product is made in China? This also goes for clothing, shoes, air conditioners, major appliances, kitchen gadgets and cookware. Why is that? Cheap labor, or is it that they can get away with hiring children to work in their factories? I don't have a problem with stuff being made in China or elsewhere, but the ...
