I think its the common belief that either intake an sri, or a cai (love my cai) will offer minimum gains and the main reason to get one is for the sound they produce. That being said the cai produces a far superior, much louder sound than the sri will.

All I know is what I have read and heard from him. Tom, you very well may be right. I'd like to see what he is putting out. While it's expensive for what you get out of it, it is still intriguing to see what kind of set ups people come up with.

well it happens..... they're just on there so long that they almost become one metal. I dunno if you guys did this or had a chance/equipment to do it, but heating up the bolts with an oxyacetylene torch (other heating methods might work too, but I dunno lol) then letting them cool down, helps a ton. Basically you're expanding the metal of the bolt, getting rid of all the rusty, dirty junk in ...

Hahaha, sorry man, you misread something. Nowhere near 19hp. More like 7. It is raspy with any exhaust. I highly recommend a high flow cat instead. I just had one installed and wow, I love how it smoothed out the tone. Doesn't drone on the highway as much and doesn't rasp down low like it used to.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I made "178" whp. I say "178" because I don't believe the dyno. It was a Mustang dyno and I'm not sure if it was calibrated correctly. I dynoed on a DynoJet and put down 165, same mods (had an underdrive pulley, not anymore). Not sure what kind of power you gain from a ported head all motor. CaysE has a ported head with JRSC + BBK and didn't make much more ...

What do you mean a dead cylinder? Is it perhaps misfiring? Any check engine codes? Misfires seem to be pretty common on SVTs sometimes. I had my coil pack go out on my ZX3 and lost a cylinder. Start from the spark plug and work your way back, and make sure you check the wiring going into the coil pack for any damage as well. That can cause problems.

does it sound like a spring is making the noise when you push it in. almost like when you have a screen door with a spring on it and it makes that creaking noise when you open it?
