if i was you i would use the h/u amp for powering the speakers for now (turn the bass down on the h/u and turn the bass up on the amp) and bridge the amp to 2 channels as i see the amp will work on 4, 3 and 2 channel mode. use the amp solely for throwing the good stuff to you bass box.

fuse is good i checked the one in the stereo and for a while it would get main power just not power to face plate, i know this because of a kittle red blinking light on the player under the faceplate. i am going to check all fuses in the morning and try again if it doesnt work i am going to take it somewhere i guess

^^ correct. as for the setup. its not even half done. it wont be till spring when i start getting all that sorted. this engine swap has to happen first. along with a rear mount dry cell battery. so it'll be a while. when it happens i'll get lots of pics so everyone can see how its done.

I'm not sure but I think you can get a certain type of component plate that adapts so you can use your stock locations and just add a tweeter . I think its at Crutchfield at the installation accessories. Or I may have googled it and accidentally found them.

I betcha the way that comes from the factory is more expensive but I'd assume they can do it as long as you request it such way and pony up the $$$ You'd need the centerstack with the usb jack, the actual module behind the panel above the glove box and the steeringwheel with buttons. That's all I can think of.. dunno what else. Oh I think you need the microphone too but I'm not sure ...
