If you join the PP club they send you periodic offers of at least 15% off anyway, in fact the xmas offer was 20% off across the xmas period. Anyway we've used them regularly over the years and never had a problem. The meet & greet service is the best and they have satellite sites nearer to LHR now, so not necessary to go to Southall. They used to be a VS partner and the miles credited really quickly the one time we put the miles...

Note! Some of our airline partners impose fuel surcharge on award flights and it will be collected at time of ticketing.
you mean, will DC remove fuel surcharges from BMI flights?
or are you hoping/dreaming/fantasizing of something more?

Did you try booking the ticket and buying the extra miles on the same telephone call? That way you'd at least have the assurance of a reservation until various unpredictable processes work their magic.

Many of us prefer to use cash plus miles as a more efficient way of doing redemptions. Out of SYD, you have limited options in F. Thai has taken its F off this route - although might bring it back - and SQ basically don't let you redeem in premium cabins on the A380 or 77W. Would it be more cost effective to do this in C? It's a shame ...

Very disappointing indeed. That rules out CO for my odd Florida trips in C. I get more miles on US where domestic F earns 3x. Still better for straight TATL than UA with its dreaded Z class earning rate.
For flights in Y it is as expected, all fares earn 1x.

but whilst the create family membership link is there ...... it bounces me out to re-log-in whenever I try to create a family membership. In fact it bounces me whenever I try to move to any other page within "my account".
Anyone else having any luck?

Well, sorry to appear hard-hearted. In spite of your 'disclaimer', credit cards operate this way. They need to finance your free use of their system if you normally pay on time. It's NOT just an MBNA thing.
I imagine you won't slip up next time.
