Keep at it. There have been others who have had trouble but between Barclays and the now unavailable BofA cards, I've always received my companion certificate each year for the past 4 years. Note it's a single $99 Companion certificate annually and can be used to buy one or two $99 companion tickets to travel with you. Not two separate certificates to be used a different times, unless there was a different promo for this in 2009.

Nope. First Class meals are served on flights over 3.5 hours between 5 AM and 8 PM. http://www.usairways.com/en-US/trave...irstclass.html you will, though, get as many passes of the infamous F class snack basket as the FA allows. You can load up on Biscoffs for breakfast?

Late, but nonstop again. That makes three that made it non-stop, if I count correctly.

i did a little spot checking from GSO. If you travel on 12/30 out and back.. You might check out... BUF, MCO, TPA, JAX, BOS, LGA, CMH Those are just a few places that I normally look when trying to get US segments. Not thinking it can be done under 200.. More in the neighborhood of 4-500.

travel advisory can really flux inventory on aircraft and routes. However, in general there are a fair amount of last minute bookings and changes etc that close in inventory that close. hope this helps!

I am glad that the issue has been resolved (via the phone) for you. However, I do not know for sure, but my understanding is that the new webiste allows for those features...it should if it does not! I could not select seats when booking recently (am US elite) but had no problem doing it after booking was complete. But if you have ...

You might want to ask on the SQ board, but my sense is that J awards are possible, but scarce and F awards are almost unattainable. As I understand the issue, they only ever seem to release award seats from SIN-SYD and some asian routes in F, essentially never releasing ones ex-USA or Europe. I think they even limit the availability ...

You cannot upgrade *A flights with US Airways miles.
If you are trying to upgrade a US flight with US miles, then if you see a standard award F reservation ...

Thanks...actually seems good! But, too bad each different merchant through the shopping mall was not its own (but that would be too easy to rake in the 250% bonus). Start shopping i guess.

Could be that preferred/choice seats were left which are not bookable through travel agents or website without a fee. People also book tickets and are not assigned seats so US will open up the seat map and assign seats to those without them.
Keep in mind that seatcounter or the US seat map is not an accurate indicator of what is ...

Might be possible to move the miles to US through various transfer methods. But I wont even go into how (if its possible depending upon conversions) becuase the bottom line is transfering them will kill their value. Use them on AA for award travel for the family or something...dont think about transferring them! Just start banking ...

The question I have is whether the 50,000 is cumulative over the buy/gift/share miles or whether it applies individually to each.

Sitting about 7th in line for de-icing now. They just finished plowing the runways so hopefully it's only another 30-45 minutes of bloody marys before we take off. Then it's only about 4 hours of Jack & Cokes to St Maarten! Landed right on time this morning, but it looks like many flights to/from here are canceled.
