New? ebags Motherlode Weekender...

http://www.1bag1world.com/obow-light...um/post/954270 Last post has some user impressions. I'd say if you don't already have a similar bag this is a very serious contender. The warranty is very good, the thing is super thought through and very lightweight. More features and more room than the Tristar at almost the same weight but three times less money. I almost bought one but then the Valoroso sale came on and I got sidetracked. Till

Luggage Personalities?

When someone flies in for a meeting and/or an interview, what luggage their haul does make an impression. Also if the luggage is not tidy and is obviously messy, it makes another impression. Are they trying to say "Frequent Flyer" or what? Also if they have way too much luggage or their luggage is over weight, that makes an impression. I have a small car. If their bags won't fit. without an effort and the meeting is...

cheap suitcase recommendations

I guess it helps to know where you are located. If you are in the US you could goto Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning, or Ross brick and mortar store and pick up a Wenger, Delsy, Samsonite, etc for around $50-60 or something like American Tourister for even less. They will often have Victorinox, TUmi, etc for more of a premium. They almost always have a large selection and when they are on clearance they are even cheaper. I picked up a very...

Ok, I went with the BR235X and the BRU420LX. When the stuff shows up, I'll get back on this thread and bother you guys some more. Thanks for all the help, this forum is amazing ! PS I went with luggagepros.com -- no tax, free shipping, free BR packing cubes, $494 total.

TravelPro and TUMI are really good and durable, if you will be traveling a lot later. Essential stuff: Passport, air ticket, wallet, make sure your credit card are in good standing, it's gonna give you a hard time if they decline when you travel. Clothes you need.

The warranty scares me a little. I like my B&R lifetime no questions asked even if I lose the receipt warranty.

Is the Kirkland luggage still in production? I was at my local Costco today and didn't see any, and the Costco Web site doesn't show any Kirkland brand luggage other than a computer bag.

It's cheap enough so not much of a risk in buying one, but I make a point of never buying from any eBay seller whose rating is below 99% (preferably 99.5%). I've been burned too many times.

Interesting news... Just to echo Till's comments - Andiamo is seriously overbuilt/engineered. Feels like it could withstanding severe abuse and keep on ticking...

Shawbridge, there are a few examples that would be close to ideal.
I now mostly use the Hartmann Belting leather wallet that looks very similar to the Tumi one you posted inthat it has the same kind of center clip but it does have an ID window instead of CC slots on the left side. It also has a slot on the outer side which is super...
