DEN-PHX 11/30 5:50 PM T-23:58 ish B1, 2, 3 (Probably couldn't get those exact numbers again if I wanted to). First time I ever got B....almost took it personally!! The Flight Attendant Manual instructs flight attendants on where to stow their luggage. It indicates that the "A" flight attedant stow their luggage in the forward OHB and/or forward windscreen and the B & C Flight Attendants stow their bags in the aft OHB, aft-galley stowage compartment, or under the last row of seats. Typically, but not always the A flight attendant will close the two front bins and save this space...

I fly WN just about weekly, and this is spot-on. Flights are usually on-time, etc. Unenforced boarding process and self-policing is horrendous. SNA is as described - especially during Disney peak periods. Fortunately there are far fewer wanna-be comedian FAs now.

I see where you are coming from as I would be overly protective of my kids as well. Sounds like the GA was just enforcing the rules to their strictest interpretation or was new and just following the rules. Though, I'm sure most GA's would let the child run up to you, they are after-all charged with being the guardians of your child....

Southwest's average seat pitch is about 32.5 inches*, which is a half inch to one and a half inches more than AA's average seat pitch. *Fleet statistics page of WN website previously listed the average pitch on each of WN's aircraft - I can't find that page anymore.
