disimilar with my experience on Egyptair, documented on another thread. But the difference is Egyptair was accepted as StarAlliance which I find surprising in light of their unacceptable upgrade and award ticket procedures.

last sunday AUH - Karachi, and return back tomorrow, that was an A320 and seating in J was set up virtually the same as the ex Bmed now BMI set up, well certainly nearly the same as my BMI flight to Baku. 2 seat aisle 2 seat cradle seats with foot rest, the IFE lookign very good, but no movies as I was only ona 2 hour ...

raves about EY even in Y and says the AUH experience is much better than the DXB experience

ACSA fired the previous baggage handlers from a few years back and have had a new company for the past 2 years (about that) I have flown in and out of there 8 times in the past 3 years and have had nothing stolen, so i think that you should be fine. But don't put anything you don't want to get stolen into your checked luggage if you can...

Frankfurt motor show this year, and after looking up the prices and reviews of the current cradle seating I decided it may not of value.
It's a shame really that for 1300USD a head you get what is considered premium economy at best. LH flies with an all ...

I did ASW-ABS-ASW about 18 months ago. I didn't go into Luxor airport but I'd imagine it's not far different to ASW. That means no significant benefit from status, nowhere entertaining to wait either side of check in, and the biggest hassle will be getting into the airport itself.
