Do you have family/friends near an inexpensive Hilton? Book the hotel with yours and their name on the reservation. They stay - or at least check in. You get stay credit/points. I'm not normally a fan of this strategy, but would consider it for reactivating points. 65K Hilton points is only worth 2 free nights. You have to be really careful that you don't let yourself spend more in reactivating the points than those points are worth.

I almost always managed to find a good rate at the Hilton Suites and I think Gold and Diamond VIP level HHonors still get free breakfast buffet. Room layout and floor plans is similar to the Embassy Suites. It's located in Orange, CA which is a 5 to 10 minute drive to Disneyland. Right off the freeway and I think there is a shuttle that you can use for a small fee.

What a joke now all WA are now 50,000 points in low season. I could not believe they were 40,000 when rates are often around $100. Now 50,000 get real. Rates at many hotels are double or even triple in high season yet they require only 10,000 more points. It makes no sense.

Some research here will reveal the Conrad Istanbul is no Bangkok, Tokyo or Hong Cong Conrad. In this instance, it would seem the Hilton outscored the Conrad on many features, but if you insist on going to the Conrad, please share your impressions. I am sure many of us would like to hear things have changed appreciably.
N.B. You may ...

Personally, the Conrad Singapore has consistently gone above and beyond and will be the only Hilton family property I frequent when I drop to Gold (or Silver ) in a few months.

How can they charge $20 if you don't have a car? I always use Harrah's lot next door for free.

It's possible that someone will want to visit the same hotels as me. Thus, I thought it worthwhile to give directions on how to travel between them.
Conrad Tokyo to Hilton Odawara
This proved to be extremely simple, much more so than I anticipated. From the Conrad, walk to Shimbashi Station. You can do this either on an ...

Thanks for the trip report. I would like to use points to stay here or at one of the other Waikoloa HGVC properties, but can't find anything at the Hilton Hhonors website indicating points can be redeemed for these properties. Can someone point me in the right direction for this? Thanks!

Not sure I can help on the road, but once you get to St. Pete's, I really like the Hilton Carillon Park.
They have a nice lounge, really good breakfast sandwiches (hidden in foil wrappers, but better than the $8.95 breakfast sandwich at SFO), 2 computers for use 24/7, water and soft drinks out most of the time. They have always ...

A few comments and questions. First, what are your goals and objectives?????
Do you want to vacation in a certain place? What hotels are there? So many hotels out there, so many options. But what properties are best for you? Do you have HH properties near your house that you can throw your sister-in-law and family in when they pop ...

The Hilton Maldives has recently been rebranded as a Conrad and it is probably time to start a new thread. For those interested in previous reviews and the problems of obtaining reward reservations I suggest a search under "Maldives"
As there are some aspects of visiting this property that are not discussed on the web-site, I am sharing the following e-mail recently received from the ...

AMEX is better than the Citi Visa.
AMEX:
3 points for all charges
6 points for groceris, gas, Hilton stays, post office, cell phone, cable
Gold VIP after spending 20K in a calendar year
Visa:
2 points on most purchases.
I am sure there are other benefits that I can't think of right now.

Hope the Honors Rep will provide some clarification.
I suspect that because the cert is based on the new reward categories that we will not be able to make reservations with the cert until after mid January.

Dublin is good but it is a small place. For a week you would probably need to be getting out of the city and going somewhere. Might not be so easy with all the people.
What about London? Lots, lots more to do for everyone and still no need to drive. You can easily spend a week in London, or I can.
