Prestige vehicles in DC
Published (2009-11-11 20:53:00)
One-ways with prestige vehicles are typically only allowed between locations authorized to have them. For instance, FLL to MIA is ok, FLL to EWR is ok, but FLL to nearby HLE may not be okay.

There's a piddly limit like "you need 500 pts in your account". So maybe no one goes out there and buys points in multi thousand increments - I would have figured I'd find that person here Oh well. thanks for the input guys.

Ride Report: 2010 Mercedes E350
Published (2009-11-12 22:08:00)
This one cost me a bit. A $50 upgrade in fact but it paid off in the end as I enjoyed it very much. Very smooth ride despite the insistence of NYC's potholes. Power was smooth yet was strong enough to making passing vehicles a cinch. My handling test of going as fast as possible through one of Central Park's Transverses left me very impressed. Audio System was not very loud but made up for it in it's Clarity. Overall, while I...

Using #1 points for E-Series rental
Published (2009-11-12 16:38:00)
I am trying to use 3000 points for a 2 day weekend rental of the new e-series. I was told that the car "isn't in the system yet to be used for points." Was told that I could book the reservation normally and then call back to have points applied instead. I have called back a few times and the car still isn't in the system. Any thoughts on when it will be in there? I am not sure how new the car is. I am trying to...

Well, I understand your personal preferences but the only thing to complain about is the Altima (Maybe). Most Altimas I saw were standard "F" class vehicles so in that sense, you did not get the upgrade you were entitled to as a PC (However, it may have been a YF so if that was the case then that was an upgrade). A Camry is a F6 and ...

The approximate total is the total that people pay the majority of the time. Your total could change if you need to add options to your rental, such as GPS or coverage for the car (You should contact your insurance company to see if you need coverage, if any).
Other than that, the reason why it will always say "approximate" or "...

Reserved: Toyota RAV4 (50% off, $53 total for 3-day weekend)
Options: None
Offered : 2008 Saturn VUE (eight miles on it)
I didn't want the VUE... decided to go for the Mustang convertible with Sirius for an extra $15 a day. FUN car! Roughly $33 total a day.

You should be okay. The only time when picking up early by three hours will change the rate is Thursday morning versus Thursday afternoon before the weekend rates become available. You should modify your reservation, though if you know you will be three hours early for availability purposes.

I think the highest I had was for an insurance replacement rental at about 16,000 miles, but the check engine light came on the third day I had it. So it had to go back and swapped for another car.

They won't bring in a vehicle specifically for you, they may have a drop off that they can upsell you, but no guarantees.

Award Chart Link Click "Redeem & Reserve Now" for it to display.
Awards can only be used in US and Canada.
Do whatever you want. You sound pretty whiney and negative about the program already. I find awards to be very valuable, it really depends on how you use them.
