I don't get the "embarrassing" part of getting a card declined. Cards get declined for all kinds of reasons, most of them having to do with hypersensitive fraud detectors. Slap down you backup, grumble about fraud, and move on.

Monday I think I am going to give the American Express CEO's office a call. They need to know what is going on with the services that come with the card.

Rewards to Hotels

i've briefly worked it out for the 3 brands (Priority, Starwood and HHonors). My opinion is that there are more holiday inn/expresses type of hotels in Asia compared to the Starwood and Hilton chains. Working backwards, thats abt a spending of SGD17,800 before being able to earn a free stay. Sounds like heavy spending before being able to redeem a free night! Btw, I think the Singapore earning rate is SGD1.60 to 1 Reward point that being...

China Air has some some good prices that may come in on your budget, and they are a Taiwan based carrier. I've flown on them to Europe and business was very good. If the power socket is an issue for you, I would look to finding out what airlines/aircraft are configured for power outlets. I have been able to get a flight attendant to 'recharge' my lap top on an international flight using the galley power. A second battery is...

Since U.S. Centurion members get VS Gold, I would think it should make sense to extend this to UK Centurion cardholders.

I currently use SPG card as my primary card and I am strongly considering applying for Travelocity MC card annaul fee version ($69).
Couple of caveats with Travelocity MC is -
1) you need to book travel on Travelocity to get rebate
2) 20000 point redemption is for booking flight or flight + hotel package up to $400 value. That ...

Welcome to Flyertalk.
I regret that I do not read French well enough to be sure, but I think these are the Membership Rewards transfer partners for your card, is this correct? Now that Continental Airlines has joined Star Alliance have you looked at accumulating OnePass miles and redeeming for travel on Thai?

I check my (UK) AmEx accounts online most days. For what seems like months, a pop-up asks whether I want to convert to e-statements. I always click No. I've done this every time, dozens of times, and they still keep asking.
What a pity they don't understand.
I for one still want paper statements.

My experience has been very positive.
I registered online with Sirius and emailed my form 3 weeks ago.
Approx 10 days later my status changed to Gold on the website.
Pretty quick!
PS. No physical card received yet.
