LH is very good at protecting cnx pax at FRA.I have personally managed to make the 1 hour cnx and miss the cnx. Should be plenty of other flights to Florence on LH.

I had the same problem when my flight YYT-YYZ went mechanical last Sunday. I was rebooked on a 5am flight and it was 8:30pm by the time they decided to cancel us. I requested a hotel voucher and was told the new policy is that they only provide a hotel for those passengers who are on a connection, not at the point of origin. I was ...

Is this for real? One segment of about an hour and a half on an RJ? And you want a refund of AE miles? Either go on the earlier flight or keep what you have but every so often we all have to accept an RJ. Don't you want to cuddle up to your SO? It'll be closer on an RJ than a J seat. Chill out, take the flight and enjoy the rest ...

The understanding is that an LMU is offered if there is upgrade space available, so if there is no R class (hence the waitlist), then LMU wouldn't be offered.

Add to your story, hotel runs where you change hotels every night in the same City, they will be convinced your nuts.

I'd suggest only suggestions be posted here, and not complaints or random observations (unless the "complaint" is accompanied by a reasonable suggested solution to prevent the problem in the future.)
And I'll start...

I'm curious what if the employee GF had actually bought a ticket, would she have been allowed in?[/quote]
If she was on a full rev ticket, yes she would have been allowed in, but in this case she was traveling on a staff standby ticket which the lounge agent noticed.
