I don't think you should give up, your cam got a lotta potential- its a 10MP i got a 3.1- there is a lot you can do with It. I took your advice on sticking with your camera and learn as much as possible- and Hey! I learnt a lot about Mine :-), just give it a little more time & concentration, you should be able to get some good Practice At the Rally!!

Another big advantage of FF is DOF, which is a matter of physics. TCrop sensors are smaller, thus changing the DOF required to get good bokeh. The background blur/bokeh is so much better on FF. The pixels on a FF sensor are not as dense as a crop, which results in more detailed shots. Not really an issue until you either want really large prints or intend to crop the image. The light during the trip on Sunday wasn't actually so bad and at least the sky was kinda interesting.
The worst trip in terms of light, heat and a boring smoggy looking sky and horizon was the trip to treasure Beach in July.

I think a "Critical" evaluation of photo's opens up a whole new avenue that may or may not have a positive out come.
I think traditionally, "Artist" (at any level) are emotionally attached to their work and to have "ANY" comment other than some modicum of praise attached will stike a cord of resentment (justified or not) UNLESS;

In 2010 you get in, turn the key and drive the car. Does the fact that it's now 2010 make a difference in the performance of that 2009 Mercedes?
