You know that reminds me, what in the everliving fuck is going on with the WTC grounds? We should have had a replacement up within two years, and it's been nearly 8. Rebuilding the towers back is a major victory of morale for the U.S. I dunno what's holding it up.

He may be a dirty commie, but he's right. There is more to life than profit. And there is a difference between valuing profit and valuing profit at the expense of EVERYTHING else. I still say, no one has shown a single tangible way in which the national debt actually affects the lives of people in this country. A lot of theory and a lot of rhetoric. But no one can point to one thing and say "This is worse because of our nation's...

Russians may attack asteroid
Published (2009-12-31 12:57:00)
Nukes are just what they do in movies, or if it's a last ditch attempt to deflect one that popped up only a few months out from impact. Otherwise if you have decades to play with, it can be as simple as changing the surface composition of the asteroid to get more or less solar forcing, altering the orbit enough, or any of a number of far less boner inducing methods. Nukes would be pretty sweet though.

If you're going to get 2x1GB I'd go with the newer chips that run 4-4-3-5 (or similar). As for the 2x2GB kits, the difference between 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15 is pretty small. Since you're not oc'ing you would likely be fine with the DDR2-667 stuff (which is available at 4-4-4-12 in 2x2GB kits from g.skill).

It really depends on how many, and how complex the formulae will be.
I've often used an OpenOffice document and the embedded formula editor, once you know the annotations (code? language?) its easy to keep pace with someone writing on a board.

You know this kinda thing happens when you get your ass kicked in congress. Party has to make changes and re-invent themselves. Think about Congress in 1994 - the democrat got their butt kicked and had to "re-invent" themselves, and had the same problems the republicans are having now.
In fact, the "re-inventing" of the republicans started in 2006, they have just been slack as shit and doing...

I'd be happy with 18hrs of battery life... but not "low powered, dark screen, no activity" 18hrs, but actual use time. Even a 6hrs recharge time is fine, I have to sleep at some point anyway.
But yeah, my next Laptop is going to be one with a flash harddrive; no point upgrading earlier for me.
