Studia Fair 2009 still on today...
Published (2009-12-03 10:05:00)
In case someone's interested, the Studia Fair is still going on in the Helsinki Fair Centre... ...mainly targeted to domestic students looking for higher education opportunities (so they're not really marketing their English-language programmes there), but if you want to check out the UAS's and the Universities this is where you'll find more or less all of them represented in the same place. And I'd suppose they...

Looking for private English teacher

what? Spamming in a forum? disgraceful! On that note, since I suppose this is a free market, let me add my own advertisement while everyone else seems to be going at it: I'm a non-native english speaker who can't be bothered to correct other people's spelling mistakes, since own spelling mistakes and grammatical errors riddle my own posts. The last thing I'd be willing to do is teach someone who already seems to have a...

Why don't you just move to Finland now then? What about doing a master degree here? Some universities have quite good connections or some of your fellow students might have connections so that they can help you to find a job within IT. I know a lot of students who have not been able to find a relevant student job but I also know a lot who did. That was based on their qualifications as well as language skills (even though they do not speak...

Ok, then a little piece of jewellery. You are not parents or godparents, so it does not have to be expensive. Small and pretty. Depends of course what style she prefers.

I'll leave actual answering to somebody who is studing there currently, but the canteen prices depend on your "status". Those still studying for their Master's (or lower level) get their food considerably cheaper than for example PhD students. Trainee's do not qualify. So you get more accurate reply if you say what is the exact purpose of your stay. Self cooking is likely cheaper than paying the full price (it...

Just so I'm not misunderstanding, how are Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan and Helsingin Teknillinen Korkeakoulu classified in the new system and how do they rank compared to each other?

Would you also be interested in online language training or only face-to-face? Also, how much are you willing to pay? _________________

Even programmes like Finnish Language and Culture (at the University of Helsinki) require that applicants know Finnish pretty well already. If you do not know Finnish at all, e.g. the summer universities' courses could be a good ...
