Flying to USA for Christmas...

Ha ha ha... LA-LA land is HEL-LAX 1600 for xmas season, its 600-700 for next May... unless you get lucky with an "äkkilähtö"... I'm scouting for maybe a week just to see sun and palm trees... Problem being - nobody ever wants to fly to Helsinki... but a lot want to fly from here...

there are gipsies living in trailers next to the autonomous social centre Satama in Helsinki (Kyläsaarenkatu) near Kalasatama metro station. I guess you can just go there and talk to them. Theyre usually really friendly.

I've already ruled out going to USA this christmas, I'll do a longer trip in the summer when hopefuly the prices are a bit lower. I am interested to see if a group could actually get a low enough price to justify the effort.

UPDATE Hello All Just to remind you all So it looks like this could be the best Christmas Party/Pikkujoulut this Friday the 27th of November. It all kicks off at 6pm so don't miss out on all the fun and turn up early. After the success of last years Xmas party, we think this year will be even better. The quiz will start around 6.30pm, we have loads of great prizes to give away camcorders, ...

i think you have to go north and in the winter time , when its dark you cant see them in southern Finland , i think the best place is in Norway as far as i know !
