In the Document Center is a very good wiring schematic for a Scamp. Since all these trailers are more similar than different, I hope you find it of value: Wiring Diagram - Scamp

QUOTE (Donna D. @ Nov 5 2009, 07:53 PM) Emily, do you have a part number for the harness that you can share? Might help the next member who's searching for a solution. The Subaru part number is SCI600078, the Tow Ready part number is 118461. I will post up some pictures of the actual unit once I get out of my jammies and brave the monsoon that's going on outside! Suger, In my opinion there is no reason to caulk the belly band of a Scamp at all. The band is only decorative, and, unless there is a specific flaw (that you would want to fix), the holes for the belly band fasteners do not penetrate the camper shell at all. To picture the joint, think of two boler hats with their brims set down onto each other. Then go inside the hats and fiberglass the crack where the joint is, so that it is bonded. Now,...

Scamp Back Leg is Broken
Published (2009-11-08 06:08:00)
My problem is that I can't have anything hanging lower than the back bumper is now or It would get knocked off when I exit the driveway. Maybe I can add a flange to the top of the bumber and then fasten something outboard behind the bumper. Tired of carrying separate items for stufflike that. Hmmmm! A 10 guage "L" bracket or better yet a "U" shaped piece, welded to the rear of the bumper and...

My 12v trailer wiring is same as house wiring - black hot, white neutral. Apparently this is common in trailers. However, a $20 multimeter is your best friend when checking the wiring as it's the 'fixes' from past owners that you have to watch out for.

Homeowner's insurance almost never covers anything with a license plate. In fact most will cover nothing with an engine (thanks Lyndy) unless it is directly related to home maintenance , Like a lawn mower or roto-tiller.

Frame paint question

Thanks for the replies. I like the look of satin, but wanted to know if the gloss was like house paint and better in the long run. At least I know, but I still think I will go with the satin. With a base of POR15, I think it should be OK.

My current setup uses one swing down tounge jack at each coner of the back bumper. I am very happy with this.

Hi Rob, The pre 75's didn't have an inverter, just the breaker. The 75's on had the Progressive Dynamics model. I replaced mine as well as adding a battery and a battery shelf, here's a discussion on it: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/index.ph...mp;#e ntry273675 What's wrong with your ensolite? It's hard to find and you can fix small tears or retractions fairly easily. I went with...

QUOTE (cyndi H @ Oct 26 2009, 12:01 PM) i am wondering if condensation alone would soak the bed ends or could i have a leak as well? Cyndi, Yep, condensation can soak a bunk. Our FiberStream has bare, painted walls and ceiling (soon to be insulated) and we found out last week what inside rain could be like. We loaded the trailer in the middle of the gully washer that went ...

QUOTE (HerseyBA @ Sep 11 2009, 05:04 AM) Travel Side Mounted Solar Panel I have been searching without success for a posting in one of the threads discussing mounting solar panels. One posting included pictures and a description of mounting panels over the travel side window. When being used as a solar panel, it also acted as an awning for the window. The panel folded down and ...

Mark..... Mine has locked up already and it was from rust buildup inside the tube..... try taking a block of wood held up against the lower section of the leg and using a hammer against the block of wood "Gently" try to tap it back out to unjam it...... Don't bang it "In" as that will just cause it to get tighter. Hope this helps Joe

I don't think I'd hang in on the rear bumper. 150/200lbs is too much weigh on the rear and could upset your weight ratio, front to back, and cause the trailer to be unstable going down the road resulting in swaying. If you feel it needs to be mounted permenately, I'd figure out a way to mount it to the tong. My suggestion, however, is to not mount something that heavy anywhere on a light-...

QUOTE (Dana T @ Nov 3 2009, 08:40 PM) Did you also have insurance coverage for the trailer? I bought a policy for the trailer from my auto insurance agent -- it was pretty cheap, something like $23/year -- even though I doubt it covers the trailer when it is not attached to the car. So that means I don't expect any coverage while in the campground, or parked at home. I got the ...

My 2009 Scamp has the open cell foam rubber strip also. It has moved and come unstuck already in places. Bill K QUOTE (Parker Buckley @ Nov 5 2009, 07:25 PM) I don't recall seeing anything on this in recent history. What sort of door seal does Scamp use from the factory? Thank you very much for the info, I really appreciate it. Sounds like my manual is incorrect as I expected, Ron I also posted this in the Scamp site. Someone there pointed out the "ills of my way". Lower dial setting does indeed result in HIGHER refrig temps. What was I thinking, higher temps means less cooling--DAH on ME!
