All kinds of rage out there, look at Ft Hood, and this guy was a military psychiatrist, the next day we had a multiple shooting in Orlando, the country is going nuts. A lot of these folks were brought up in an era where they had everything and they can't stand any kind of adversity or inconvenience in their lives

Thanks for those two CG, turns out Buttonwood is a Sun RV Resort where you have to be a member and they dont allow popups. It's a luxury resort with manufactured homes, park models etc. I'll contact the Fishing resort as that looks nice and relaxing. With only 12 RV spots we'll see what they have. Since we live in Florida I forget the CG's are full with snowbirds in February. I'll keep hunting. Thanks again!...

A "funny" thing has happened to me lately... My Mom fell & broke her hip, (that in itself isn't funny at all, but it is the catalist of what has happened), and she has been put in a nursing home to recover and be rehabilitated. For a full week now, I've been coming to visit with her and some of the other residents in the center as well. Through it all I have taken it upon myself to keep a positive...

QUOTE (Robin G @ Nov 7 2009, 12:48 AM) Nursing homes are wild places, but can you just imagine how they are gonna look a few years from now? LOL.................. We discussed that on Halloween while watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Wondering what the young staff would think of all us (soon to be) old timers dancing the "Time Warp" again.

QUOTE (melissab @ Nov 3 2009, 09:35 AM) Hello, I just went to make reservations for the Rally in Sebring, Florida and they are all booked up. Does anybody know of any other campgrounds nearby I maybe could get into and then just drive over for the meet? Thanks, Melissa You might want to call the campground if you did not do so? They are under major construction and I noticed they look all booked up on the website. I would...

propane water heater
Published (2009-11-06 11:51:00)
I've seen these water heaters available elsewhere, too. They're a tankless on-demand kind of system. I suppose they could be adapted relatively easily to the RV for nice weather use. I'm not sure how well they'd work in colder weather though, being mounted outside. This post has been edited by David Mooney : Yesterday, 11:52 AM -------------------- Dave

propane water heater
Published (2009-11-06 13:24:00)
I've seen those too, and wondered whether I could engineer a shell insert for them that could turn one into a good trailer water heater. Standard 6-gallon propane heaters have a number of disadvantages, not the least of which is they take up a lot of cabinet space and hold 50-plus pounds of water (6 gallons) that can't really be used to drink or bathe in because there's no easy way to get the water out of the heater without...

Thanks for the heads up, I'll call them directly. So far I've checked with a couple of local campgrounds and I've been told they are an "adult" oriented park. We've learend that is code for "you are not welcome" even though their website doesnt specifically say 55 and up. We get that a lot down here. Others are "resorts" and have the prices to prove it, lol. I hate being the only popup ...

QUOTE (melissab @ Oct 25 2009, 06:30 PM) Hi All! I'm in awe of ya'll's talent when it comes to customizing, modifying and refurbishing these diamonds in the rough.
