QUOTE (LondonTom @ Dec 23 2009, 01:56 PM) Exactly, it's about getting drunk and watching pretty much main stream bands all weekend, if you want obscure bands or more metal then go to the other festivals around that cater for that (Would rather people cleaned up a bit and didn't piss everywhere still though ) yeah defo there a few tinks that go and piss everywere .....this is aimed at the clats at red and purple area...

QUOTE (theampersanddevil @ Dec 24 2009, 03:28 PM) I think the point that bench was making was that the gigs were subsidised by the high price of cds. I dont think he was, I think he was saying people download illegally because cd's are priced to high.

QUOTE (BenchBuddah @ Dec 25 2009, 08:00 AM) Did anyone see that interview with the Fratellis front man where he said that the band won't be happy until they produce an album akin to a Led Zepplin/Pink Floyd epic?! hahaha funny sh*t! Yes, Jon is major fan of Pink Floyd and Led Zpplin, what's wrong with him not being happy til he makes an epic album worthy of his heroes? He realises he isn't there...

QUOTE (thetime @ Dec 23 2009, 05:18 PM) thats what you get when people steal music on line, robbing gits. I remember back in I think 1991, carter usm was something like 7 or 8 quid. That's what you get when companies charge upto £15 a CD.

QUOTE (thetime @ Dec 24 2009, 03:04 PM) sorry to say but thats bullshit, people would still illegally download if they were a fiver a cd. I think the point that bench was making was that the gigs were subsidised by the high price of cds.

QUOTE (fearlessbobfunkhouse @ Dec 24 2009, 01:56 PM) I think the word "Legendary" gets used far too easily nowadays. e.g. "legendary Scottish band The Frattellis have just finished a pulsating 25 minute rock-a-thon on the main stage! I'm not even sure why you capitalise the word legendary either? For f**k sake, it's only one T in Fratellis! When will people learn?

QUOTE (LondonTom @ Dec 22 2009, 10:51 AM) Said that enough? Wow how good would that be Green Day, Pearl Jam and Muse! (I know pretty impossible/unlikely but I guess Kasabian could be co-headliner with muse on the sunday?) muse wouldnt co headline with kasabian think arctic monkeys would be more realistic. would rather see pearl jam than green day on the other day ARCTIC MONKEYS AND KASABIAN PEARL JAM MUSE

last year my brother travelled through on the Sat morning looking for a day ticket, he agreed a price of £40 with the scouse tout and when he handed over the ticket it was a Sat\Sun so my brother came back through the next day. I felt a bit of a mug for forking out £200 for the weekend, paying for parking then having to eat £10 pizza for supper. NIN and Jane's Addiction were just about ...
